Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
The morning sun rises, casting its golden light across the dark earth, bringing forth a new day. As the light touches the world, all earthly creatures awaken from their slumber. The songs of birds and the crowing of roosters serve as a natural alarm, calling out to those who are still asleep: 'Wake up! It is time to begin your work.'
This cycle repeats day after day, year after year. A child is born and gradually grows into a youth. In the prime of life, one works tirelessly to build a career and support a family, only to find themselves growing old as the years slip away. Eventually, weakens, illness may take hold, and the strength to carry on fades. When the final moment arrives and one has breathed their last, their loved ones may hold a funeral, but the spirit continues its journey, lost in the cycle of reincarnation, unaware of where it will go next. This is the typical life of an ordinary person, caught in the endless turning of samsara.
However, those who are fortunate enough to practise at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre lead a life that is fundamentally different. By dedicating oneself to the path of the Buddha, one has the rare opportunity to not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die.
Long before the dawn breaks, the practitioner is already awake, engaged in diligent practice. You begin your day with prostrations, chanting the name of , and reciting the Sutras as part of your daily practice. Because your heart is focused on the Buddha, you feel a profound sense of peace and clarity. As you work hard to change your personality traits and purify your mind, you realise that while the sun rises the same for everyone, your life has taken on a completely different meaning.
At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, we are all working together toward a shared, noble goal. We strive to purify our hearts and minds to rediscover our true self. We work to lead more people into this sacred space to see the Buddha, learn the teachings, and chant the name of Namo Amituofo.
Our mission is to bring purification and positive energy to all, to save the world, and to help all beings be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. We do not stop in our efforts to guide others toward this ultimate destination. Every action we take is a step toward that goal, and every moment spent in practice is a contribution to the salvation of all suffering beings. Recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
