This is a record of an interview with Mo He Ling, an ancient demon who has existed for sixty-five million years. He was saved by Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia and now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fa Jing, on June 30, 2024.

Mo He Ling speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. It is quite a surprise that I find myself here; this is something I never, ever imagined. I truly never thought there would come a day when I would be captured by a Buddha. This feeling is not pleasant at all—it feels as though my demonic power is inferior to that of the Buddha, which is a significant blow to my dignity.

But saying anything more is useless. It is already a settled fact that I have been captured by Practitioner Su and brought to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Even my 'demon children and grandchildren' have been rounded up; they are all here, surrounding me, each sitting on their own lotus seat. Now, we have absolutely no power to resist. We are completely forced to stay here and behave ourselves."

A Competitive Battlefield

"Any demon capable of appearing within the spaces of technology, the internet, or mobile devices is certainly no small fry. These spaces are incredibly competitive within our Demon Realm. Every Demon King is scrambling to flood into these areas, bringing their own demon children and grandchildren to fight for territory. They are all clawing at each other, desperate to occupy these digital realms.

Why are we demons so eager to infiltrate the technology, internet, and mobile spaces invented by humans? It is because our demonic power can be unleashed to its fullest potential in these environments. The power we exert there is something humans cannot even begin to fathom—it is completely beyond the scope of human imagination. That is why humans find themselves unable to extricate themselves. Even those who do not actively use the internet are still using electrical appliances, all of which fall within our range of control. Therefore, not a single human can escape us."

The Evolution of Human Greed

"In truth, long before humans even appeared, the Earth was already a place we demons had our eyes on. The entire planet is a truly miraculous sphere, completely distinct from any other in the universe.

After the Earth was formed, many spirits were sent here. Some came to undergo , while others came to practise. In the past, many spirits who visited Earth and eventually departed were able to achieve a genuine elevation of their spirits. They came, they practised within the Earth's space, and when they left, their spiritual nature had been refined. Precisely because of this, many spirits were sent to Earth to undergo a series of trials to elevate their own spiritual nature.

However, look at the Earth now. When humans first appeared, it was relatively pure. There was not much competition between people. But as the human population grew and they realised that the Earth's resources were finite, selfishness began to emerge. Humans learned to compete; they learned to think only of their own bodies, fighting over limited food just to ensure their own survival.

Do you see it now? Humans do not need to be taught to be selfish. The innate ability of the human body is 'self-protection.' This capacity for self-protection is like an instinct—everyone has it. And the more one focuses on self-protection, the stronger their selfishness becomes. Their thoughts are mostly occupied with themselves, because they must look after their own interests first to ensure they can survive safely.

This mental note has existed in human development from the very beginning. It goes without saying that as the material resources on Earth were consumed more and more, the competition that followed became increasingly intense.

It does not stop there. The human heart is absolutely terrifying, especially once human greed begins to manifest. The entire Earth has undergone even greater transformations because of it.

Among all these changes, the invention of technology and the internet—and eventually the appearance of smartphones—shows just how formidable the human brain is. To satisfy their own desires, they can invent these things, allowing their cravings to be satisfied rapidly. But that speed is only fleeting; it is absolutely not eternal. Furthermore, it is illusory; it is not real at all."

The Trap of the Digital World

"Our Demon Realm values the entire technological network highly; it is incredibly useful for capturing human souls. We do not need to use heavy-handed methods. We only need to understand the human heart—what they want, what they crave—and we can build all of that into the internet world, letting humans dig into it themselves.

To humans, the entire internet world is like a treasure trove, a kind of omnipotent paradise. Whatever help they need, whatever desires they wish to satisfy, they can find it all inside.

For those who do not abuse the internet, they can certainly feel its convenience. It has truly reduced the mental and physical labour of humanity, and many problems can be solved through technology and the internet. But for a massive group of people, it is not like that at all. They use computers, the internet, and mobile phones to live their lives in darkness. This group of people is actually living in a state of extreme numbness. If you could see their spirits, you would realise that every one of them is in immense pain, because their spirits have already been bound by us.

I know this is nothing strange to Practitioner Su, because Practitioner Su discovered this situation long ago. That is why so many people are unable to be the master of their own bodies. However, in places other than here, many people are unaware of this. They allow their souls to be bound, all for the sake of obtaining physical excitement and stimulation, using it to numb their own lives.

Beyond numbing their lives, they are actively destroying their own lives."

A Life Cut Short

"There is a very famous university on Earth where the students are all elites. Every one of them is top-tier—brilliant minds, excellent grades, and a future that seems boundless. However, in such a university environment, the competition is incredibly fierce. Everyone exerts every ounce of their strength to achieve good grades and good performance, just to avoid falling behind.

These people actually live very difficult lives, but most are willing to endure it. Why? For the sake of fame. Just by wearing the halo of this university, their hearts feel an incomparable sense of glory. If they are also top-performing students within that university, it goes without saying that they have 'light on their faces,' and their entire family feels honoured. To obtain this false reputation, these people choose to live in pain, constantly forcing themselves to practise and strive.

We demons set our sights on these people long ago. Their desire for fame and profit has long been exploited by many 'fame-and-profit demons.' As for us, the demons of the internet, we naturally had to find targets perfectly suited for our invasion.

Among this group, there are some who did not come to such a school of their own volition. They possess great talent and good family backgrounds, but their hearts are not here, and their life goals are certainly not the pursuit of fame and profit. So, when they are forced to study at such a school, they feel immense pressure. They feel their lives are restricted, and because they are required to achieve good grades, they must put in even more effort.

The suffering of these people far exceeds that of those who came to study willingly and are happy to bury themselves in books every day. Therefore, when the internet began to appear on Earth, we gave these people the opportunity to touch and explore it. Gradually, they fell in love with it.

No matter how good a student is, they are still human. Since they are human, they must have desires. And because they are particularly intelligent, they can master the internet in their hands very quickly, using it with great ease.

We very quickly identified those among this group who desperately needed to use computers to vent their emotions. These people immediately became our targets. Once they became our targets, they could quickly find areas on the internet to become addicted to—perhaps video games, perhaps television series—because our demonic power was manipulating it from within.

Sure enough, this group immediately fell into it. Because of the pleasure they found on the internet, they completely forgot the heavy pressure of their schoolwork, and their internal negative could be completely vented. Most of them were swept in just like that, never having the chance to come out again.

One such gifted student was exactly like this. He did not want to attend this school; it was his teachers and relatives who forced him. So, he was not happy at all, and he felt great pressure. But ever since we let him fall into the space of online video games, he was happy and excited every day. His grades, of course, plummeted. In the end, because of frequent truancy and low grades, he was forced to drop out.

After returning home, he naturally continued to play. No one could counsel him, and no one wanted to counsel him anymore, because he had disappointed everyone too much. Finally, he died suddenly in front of his computer, ending his short life at the age of twenty-six.

There are too many examples of our success to even list. But now, I have nothing left to boast about, because I have become a defeated subordinate of Practitioner Su.

Many of us internet demons have been captured by Practitioner Su. Practitioner Su's speed is incredible. Once entering the internet space, he began to sweep through the entire network, capturing so many demons. It is truly hard to imagine that we demons with such high demonic power could be defeated by Practitioner Su just like that. I am truly unwilling to accept it, yet I am helpless to do anything about it.

Namo Amituofo."
