The Demon's Transformation: From Interference to Awakening

Shi Faxin: Please, tell us about your origins and your path before you encountered Practitioner Su.

Mo Zhuoran (Shi Yuantong) speaks: "Namo Amituofo. My appearance is quite grotesque—my hair is a tangled mess, my eyes are uneven, and my nose and mouth are not where they should be. I am a demon. Sometimes I speak in a thin, high-pitched voice, and other times I shift into a deep, masculine tone. It all depends on my mood and the person I am currently tormenting.

I come from beyond the twenty-sixth heaven. I have known of Practitioner Su for many years, long before he became famous in the human world. It was the first time someone had ever shaken our Demon Realm to its core, tearing open the twenty-eight layers of heaven. Back then, I hid in a corner, watching the chaos unfold. I had no intention of following the trend; I had my own agenda, my own victims to toy with, and my own dreams. My goal was to elevate my demon nature and ascend from beyond the twenty-sixth heaven to even higher, more powerful realms. I believed that if I refined my skills, I could command larger demon palaces and earn the respect of countless demon children and grandchildren."

The Rise of a Demon Palace

"After Practitioner Su opened the twenty-eight layers of heaven, his Dharma talks could be heard echoing through the void. Many of my fellow demons defected to his side, abandoning their powers and changing their ways. I chose to ignore them. I didn't want to listen, and I didn't want to look. I had a 'career' to build.

Over the years, while Practitioner Su developed his Buddha-work, I developed my demon-work. I achieved quite a bit. I established my own palace, decorated it with opulent, dark grandeur, and expanded my legion of followers tenfold. Some came to me willingly, while others I conquered. I controlled humans by amplifying the demon nature within their hearts, and I subdued spirits trapped in the realms of ambition and greed. I even extended my reach to various planets—though I must admit, my skills were not yet refined enough to traverse every single space in the universe. Still, my progress was satisfying."

The Power That Swept the Universe

"I watched my own demon nature ascend, confident that it wouldn't be long before I broke through to the 'Heaven beyond Heaven' to control even more worlds. I would chuckle to myself, walking with my head held high, filled with arrogance. My followers would ask, 'Great King, why are you so happy?' and I would reply, 'Your King is about to level up, which means you all level up too!' We would cackle with laughter.

That was the scene only a short time ago. Who would have expected that a force would suddenly sweep across the universe, piercing through countless dimensions and bringing a purifying light to every space it touched? When I saw it, I knew—it was Practitioner Su. I knew this power could not be ignored.

I paused and decided to observe. Standing in a 'safe' corner, I saw Practitioner Su’s light—it was massive, far greater than what I had seen years ago. His Dharma Body manifested in the sky, surrounded by boundless Dharma protectors. These were not minor figures; they were formidable. My followers whispered, 'Boss, those following behind him were once great Demon Kings from all directions, now subdued and serving him. Even the Northern Demon King, Mo Lidun, whom you know, is now one of his protectors.' I cursed under my breath, but I kept watching."

The Final Confrontation

"Practitioner Su traversed the dense layers of space, even daring to storm various demon palaces. His skills had improved so drastically that the magnetic field he radiated was overwhelming. I felt a genuine sense of fear and retreat. This was unexpected, but I had also improved over the years. I thought I had a chance. I masked my fear with a facade of confidence, approached his location, and mapped out an attack route. I prepared to strike with everything I had.

As we closed in, aiming for his throat, we shifted formations to avoid his counter-attacks, hoping to succeed through sheer numbers and strategy. We underestimated him. When he noticed us, we tried to dodge, but he began to chant: 'Infinite Light Buddha, Boundless Light Buddha, Unobstructed Light Buddha, Unequalled Light Buddha, Wisdom Light, Constant Shining Light, Pure Light, Joyful Light, Liberation Light, Peaceful Light, Light Surpassing the Sun and Moon, Inconceivable Light.' We had no defense against this. Each Buddha manifested from his words, radiating such intense light that we could not resist. Our bodies, once hard as diamond, suddenly became soft. In an instant, we were drawn into that light, into the Dharma-Nature Land, where our entire beings were bathed in golden radiance. Each Buddha-name washed us clean, softening our hearts and transforming our very essence. That was the end of my 3,600 years as a demon. I am deeply grateful for the Buddha’s compassion toward me and my followers."

A New Life in the Buddha-Land

"After entering this Buddha-land, I felt light everywhere. The magnetic field is filled with compassion and tolerance. I immerse myself in it, feeling the Buddha’s mercy. I watch the changes here every second. Practitioner Su uses the Buddha-name to traverse the heavens, the earth, and the depths of the sea. Wherever the light shines, countless spirits emerge from the smallest corners of space.

When I look at the world through his eyes, I see hunters trapped in the space of their own past, spirits of emotion drifting in the clouds, and beings whose time has stood still for five hundred years. Practitioner Su passes through, his light sweeping over them, and they are finally brought out of their long, dark slumber. They didn't even know how much time had passed.

I see many demons still trying to attack him, surrounding him, trying to pull him down to protect their own domains. But Practitioner Su continues his work without a hint of hesitation or resentment. He is always smiling, genuinely happy to help these beings. It is a level of sincerity and 'no-mind' that we demons have never encountered. It is truly invincible. No wonder the demons who came before me could never return. The power of the Buddha, the power of Practitioner Su—it opens the universe, and the beings who are saved are reborn in gratitude. Namo Amituofo."
