Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, the -ship of this temple is sailing directly toward the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Practitioner Su possesses profound and wisdom, with the five eyes fully illuminated and perfectly pure. Through these gifts, they possess divine sight and hearing, allowing them to clearly foresee and hear the suffering of the world.
The Compassionate Work of Practitioner Su
Beyond the daily lectures and Dharma talks that soothe the hearts of sentient beings, Practitioner Su employs their awakened to perform the work of . This allows countless spirits to shed their karmic burdens and enter the Western Land of Dharma Nature within our temple in a state of purity. These are but a few examples of the daily work performed here, shared now to benefit all beings. The work that Practitioner Su carries out in the human world to save and liberate beings is beyond the reach of ordinary practice. Therefore, I take this opportunity to speak on this matter, to resolve the doubts that may arise in the minds of the public.
Understanding the Title of Practitioner Su
You may wonder why one in the human realm is addressed as Practitioner Su. The term Buddha is a universal designation. Because they have reached the stage of an awakened being, they are referred to as a Buddha; it is a fitting title. Furthermore, their heart and their actions are entirely dedicated to the welfare of others. Every thought is for the sake of sentient beings, and every action is for their benefit. Thus, they are known as Practitioner Su. I, too, call them Practitioner Su, following the hearts of sentient beings and according to the Causal Conditions of the world.
A Sage Descended for the World
Practitioner Su is a sage from the Western Pure Land who, seeing the suffering of beings and responding to their pleas, has descended to this world. Although they manifest in a human body with a human heart, they are truly a Buddha in heart and body. By following the principle that all dharmas are mind-only, they have cultivated themselves to the point of . They use their spiritual Dharma Body to perform the work of Chao Du, and with their physical body, they take on the suffering of sentient beings. With extraordinary wisdom, boldness, and the majestic power of a Buddha, they work to save the world. This is a rare opportunity that occurs only once in many aeons. It is this connection of vows and actions that has moved me, Namo Amituofo, to come and respond.
Subduing the Forces of Darkness
Practitioner Su possesses the subtle and profound Dharma to subdue demonic enemies, causing the demon crowds to change colour in fear upon hearing it. If not for deep meditative concentration and a vast vow of compassion, how could one perform such a feat? They have successfully:
Subdued the rampant demonic forces of this degenerate age.
Counseled these beings with wisdom and guided them with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
Rescued these beings from the suffering of the bottom of ice mountains, the burning of flames, and the crushing weight of great mountains—torments from which they could not escape for thousands of aeons.
Led them to surrender and undergo purification, transforming them into a salvation team to perform the work of saving the world.
A Bridge Between Realms
If not for a Buddha responding to the needs of the world, how could the dimensions be opened to allow the Four Sages, the heavenly realms, and the spirits of the universe to participate in the and earnestly seek Spiritual Deliverance to the West? Even the Yama Kings of the Ten Hells cooperate in this Dharma assembly, assisting in the salvation and judgment of beings in the hells. Furthermore, Practitioner Su used their Dharma Body to teach the earthly creatures of Australia, successfully chanting Namo Amituofo to bring rain. By using their physical body to bear the suffering of beings, they ensured that the creatures of the land could survive. This enabled the Jade Emperor, the Dragon Kings of the Four Seas, the deities of wind, rain, thunder, and lightning, and their subjects to find the opportunity for rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
An Urgent Call to Practice
These many deeds have made Practitioner Su a savior of both the underworld and the human world. This is truly difficult to believe, yet it is the absolute truth. Today, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Practitioner Su is actively cultivating others to attain the awakened Dharma Body. This work knows no national boundaries. As long as you have faith in the Buddha, and your vows and actions are in sync with the Buddha, you can become like the Buddha. Where you fall short, you may receive the Buddha’s and the assistance of Practitioner Su. I hope that the and all who aspire to join the Hsiang Kuang salvation team will seize this moment. Do not let this human life pass in vain. Through diligent practice, you may attain Awakening, find liberation from the cycle of rebirth, and secure your chance for rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
