Once you have chosen the path of a monastic, you have stepped away from the worldly life to dedicate yourself entirely to the . To carefully uphold the duties expected of a monastic is the most basic virtue of your calling.
What exactly are these duties that you must uphold? Above all, your daily practice must never be neglected. It is the heartbeat of your spiritual life and the foundation upon which all your progress is built. You must hold yourself to a high standard, always turning your focus inward to cultivate your own heart rather than seeking answers or validation from the outside world. Do not waste your precious time discussing the faults of others; instead, turn your gaze inward and examine your own shortcomings. This is the mark of a true practitioner.

Furthermore, you should avoid idle talk and unnecessary tasks. By distancing yourself from these distractions, you prevent the accumulation of negative that often arises from even the most subtle, coarse thoughts.
The focus of practice is, above all, on purification. By constantly purifying your heart and actions within the realm of Goodness, you will naturally elevate the quality of your spirit. Namo Amituofo.
