Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offers profound guidance on the alignment of our inner heart, our sacred vows, and our daily practice. This alignment is the cornerstone of our spiritual journey, serving as a beacon that guides us from confusion to .
When your heart is directed toward the truth, your vows become the foundation of your actions. This alignment of heart, vows, and practice is so powerful that it resonates throughout the entire universe. It is not merely a personal effort; it is a force that can save infinite beings across the vastness of the Realm. When we align our internal state with the Buddha’s wisdom, we become conduits for , allowing the light of the Dharma to reach every corner of existence.
Everything in the cosmos—from the sun and moon to the distant stars—is inhabited by sentient beings. When we cultivate a sincere heart, we can sense their needs and respond with compassion. The most critical task for any practitioner is to use this sincere heart to save the beings residing within our own bodies. Our physical bodies are like small universes, containing countless karmic causes and effects that have accumulated over many lifetimes. We must strive to live in harmony with the beings within us, for their peace is our peace.
If the beings within us are disturbed, we will inevitably experience suffering. When we encounter such difficulties, we must immediately repent for our past mistakes. By maintaining meditative concentration, we can calm our Body, Speech, and Mind. We must be vigilant and avoid creating negative causes, for they inevitably lead to evil consequences. When we face the results of our past actions, we must understand that we are responsible for them. Instead of complaining, we should feel deep shame and repent, vowing never to repeat such errors. This process of reflection is essential for purification.
Every step we take should be a step toward the Buddha. We follow Namo Amituofo, dedicating our lives to the work of saving all beings. When our heart, vows, and practice are in perfect harmony, our spirits will awaken. We long to see our true self and elevate our spiritual state to a higher level. This is the path of the , a path of selfless service and constant devotion to the welfare of others.
At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, we practise this harmony daily. We are willing to let go of this physical body and all worldly attachments. We came into this world with nothing, and we shall leave with nothing. All worldly phenomena are illusions; we must wake up from this dream. Do not let these illusions pull you away from your true self, and never forget the presence of Namo Amituofo. By staying focused on the Buddha, we ensure that our journey leads us back to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
