The Human Realm and the Spiritual Realms
Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju
The Precious Vessel of the Human Body
We human beings are unique in that we possess a body, a heart, and a spirit. Among these, the physical body is the most precious vessel. It is through this body that we are able to encounter and endure the various trials and tribulations of life. These challenges are not merely obstacles; they are opportunities. If you can navigate these tests with a sincere heart, you will find that your spirit is elevated and your wisdom begins to unfold.
As you engage in your practice, you must work diligently to purify yourself. When your heart becomes pure, this purity naturally extends to your physical body and your spirit. When these three—body, heart, and spirit—are harmonised and unified, and when they are purified to the point where not a single trace of pollution remains, you have reached the state of .
Transcending the Boundaries of Space
The human realm and the various spiritual realms originally belong to different dimensions of space. However, as you continue to purify your body, heart, and spirit to a certain degree, your innate, original nature begins to manifest. You will find that you have the natural ability to break through these spatial barriers.
This allows for direct communication between spirits, the transmission of messages, and the ability to visit other realms. Through this, you can gain knowledge of conditions in spaces that are usually unknown to the average person. These conditions are deeply intertwined with human life and the laws of . They include:
- The Demon Realm, where negative influences originate.
- The Ghost Realm, where wandering spirits reside.
- The Heavenly Realm, representing higher states of existence.
- The who reside within our own bodies.
- Attached spirits that seek resolution and liberation.
By understanding these connections, we can perform the necessary work of resolving conflicts, inviting these spirits to hear the , and conducting to help them find peace.
The Wisdom of the Awakened
If one attains Awakening and Buddhahood while in a human body, the barriers of space are completely removed. One can then fully utilise the natural functions that arise after the purification of . This allows the practitioner to perceive truths that are entirely unknown to the physical senses of ordinary people.
At this stage, you must be extremely careful. Do not use your limited, worldly knowledge to slander or speculate about the insights of those who have attained purity, nor should you doubt the reality of their work in saving beings. To do so is a grave mistake, a heavy burden of karma that one should avoid at all costs.
