The Boundless Origin of Living Water

During the solemnity of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony and the Noon Offering, we turn our hearts toward the profound wisdom of Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju. He asks us to contemplate: from where does the living water flow? It does not originate from any external source, but from the infinite, inexhaustible depths of the heart. This living water is a constant, surging force, flowing forth specifically to save all suffering beings without pause or hesitation.

Whether we look toward the vastness of the Dharma Realm or toward other distant lands, we find that every corner of existence is a potential source of this living water. It is the lifeblood of the universe, sustaining all who are lost in the cycle of rebirth.

The Compassionate Work of Practitioner Su

Practitioner Su has never ceased in his tireless work of saving beings. His dedication is a testament to the power of the Buddha-vow. We observe in him a manifestation of infinite virtues and auspicious characteristics that are truly beyond measure. His compassion and wisdom are vast, and his ability to respond to the needs of sentient beings with such agility and strategic insight is remarkable.

The Pure Land Path in Our World

The Buddha-heart and the Buddha-vow are far from ordinary; they are the very essence of an awakened being and the manifestation of the Dharma-nature body. The methods we employ here—resolving conflicts, performing Chao Du, and delivering Dharma talks—are all essential practices of the Pure Land path. They are the means by which we purify our minds and align ourselves with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.

At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where Namo Amituofo truly abides, the essence of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is manifested right here in this world. Practitioner Su acts as a vessel, a living conduit for this living water. Within the natural state of existence, he helps all beings—both the saviour and the saved—to transcend the cycle of rebirth and find their way to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
