A Message from the

I am Gao Qingyuan, the founder of Uni-President. It has been a long time since I last spoke with all of you. I am currently living a truly wonderful life here in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Here, I no longer need to worry about the complexities of the world or be troubled by endless thoughts. My days are filled with the peace of chanting Namo Amituofo and listening to the sacred teachings. I feel incredibly free and at ease.

Sometimes, I look back at the human world to see how things have changed. After observing the state of affairs, I find it all so complicated and exhausting. I realise that there is truly no place better than the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. When I see Practitioner Su working so diligently to propagate the practice of chanting Namo Amituofo to help beings attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, I am filled with deep admiration. You are truly a devoted disciple of Namo Amituofo.

The Cycle of Toil

You may find it difficult to believe, but after I passed away, I was reborn as an ant. My existence became a reflection of my life as a young man working in the textile industry, where I spent my days moving fabrics and goods from one place to another. As an ant, I lived in a state of constant, mindless activity:

  • I spent every waking moment frantically searching for food.
  • I carried heavy burdens back into the colony.
  • I would emerge again, only to repeat the same exhausting cycle of searching and hauling.

I was trapped in this repetitive, meaningless labour until Practitioner Su called my name. A brilliant light descended, pulling me out from the colony of ants and bringing me to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. It was only then that I awakened and realised that I had died and been reborn as an ant. After listening to the and chanting Namo Amituofo for a period, I was finally blessed by Practitioner Su, who guided me to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. That is how I came to be here today, speaking to all of you.

Life as a Fleeting Dream

Why did I fall into the realm of ants? Before I passed away, my mind was filled with the habits of my entire life. I had spent my years like an ant, constantly working, seeking new paths, expanding my business territory, and then working even harder to expand further. I never imagined that my spirit would be drawn into of an ant because of these deep-seated attachments. It is truly difficult to believe, yet it is the absolute truth.

I was once a prominent chairman who left behind a vast business empire, yet I could not take a single thing with me. Instead, my own thoughts pulled me into the cycle of rebirth as an ant. Life is truly like a dream. You must learn to let go. Do not be overly concerned with worldly gains or losses; it is enough to live with a clear conscience. The most important thing is to ensure that in your next life, you can reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. If you achieve this, then your life in this world will not have been in vain. This is the sincere advice I wish to offer everyone from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

A Sanctuary for the Soul

Currently, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is preparing to build the Mituo Village. Those who reside there will have the precious opportunity to attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a rare and magnificent blessing. Whether you are a dedicated practitioner or someone just beginning to learn about the Buddha, you should seize this opportunity with all your heart.

The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is a place of incomparable beauty and peace. I welcome all of you to join us here. May you all find the path to liberation and leave suffering behind to find true happiness.
