Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
Recorded and transcribed by ’s disciple, Venerable Fa Hui.
Throughout your many lives, you have wandered through the cycle of rebirth. Have you ever paused to consider where your spirit will go when this physical body finally fails? When the physical form ceases to function, the spirit does not simply vanish. Instead, it continues its journey into the six realms of existence.
The destination of your spirit is determined by the state of your at the final moment of life. This is a critical juncture where the strongest habitual tendencies of your mind dictate your path. The outcome is also influenced by the laws of and cause and effect, as assessed by the judicial processes of the underworld. Your spirit will be directed toward one of the following realms:
Those who have lived a life of goodness, cultivating a pure and virtuous heart, will naturally be drawn toward the higher realms. Their spirits, lightened by the accumulation of good karma, are often welcomed by celestial beings into the Celestial Realm to enjoy the fruits of their virtuous deeds. Conversely, those who have lived a life of evil, allowing their spirits to become clouded by greed, anger, and ignorance, will find themselves drawn toward the lower realms. This is not a punishment imposed from without, but a natural consequence of the karmic energy one has cultivated throughout their life. It is a fundamental law of the universe that like attracts like.
We must also address the reality of demonic interference, which can severely obstruct one's spiritual progress. These forces manifest in various ways:
When a person is bound by these negative influences, they often commit evil acts without even realising it. Because the laws of karma and cause and effect are absolute, those who engage in such destructive behaviour will inevitably face the consequences. They may find themselves trapped in the deepest, most painful regions of existence, enduring suffering that is beyond description.
We are currently witnessing a precious opportunity. Through the of Practitioner Su, who has descended to subdue these demonic forces and guide them toward the Western Land of Nature, there is a chance for transformation. If you are currently under the influence of such negative forces, I urge you to stop the interference. Do not cause further harm to other beings. Instead, protect the True Teachings and surrender your heart to the Buddha-land. This is a rare and invaluable opportunity to change your destiny.
