The Light of Awakening

During the first session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, Namo Amituofo offered profound teachings on the nature of Brightness. This light is not merely a physical phenomenon but the radiant clarity of our original nature, which possesses the power to pierce through the deepest darkness of the netherworld.

The Piercing Light of Truth

The sudden emergence of bright light pierces the darkness of the netherworld. If the bright heart is revealed, it shatters all confusion. When can one truly be bright? When can one truly be authentic? If one remains in darkness, where the light has yet to appear, stumbling and suffering physical pain, what is the state of your heart? Are you still, or are you agitated?

The Perils of Drifting in Darkness

If you drift aimlessly with the currents of the world, or if your heart is swayed by the pain of the body, you invite karma to manifest, leading you into the cycle of being reincarnated. This is truly not worth the cost of this life. Your precious body and heart should be used with Goodness. Follow a good teacher to enter the light. Only then will you ensure this life has not been in vain.

The Path to True Awakening

To see the bright heart within this Saha world is to ultimately become an awakened being and achieve the Buddha's path. Resolving the grievances accumulated since time immemorial is the Buddha-heart's wish and a compassionate action. May all beings realise this truth.
