Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, recorded and transcribed by ’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
On the third of November, 2023, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these words of wisdom to all who seek the path of liberation.
When the wind blows, the wailing sound it makes is not merely a movement of air. It is a message, telling us of the deep sorrow and the silent weeping within the hearts of Wandering Spirits and sentient beings who have lost their way. These beings carry heavy burdens of past grievances and unfulfilled longings, and their cries echo through the natural world, seeking a place of refuge.
At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, we have the capacity to receive these voices. By writing memorial tablets, we provide a focus for their spirits, helping to calm their hearts and minds. Because of this compassionate connection, these beings are able to receive the grace of , finding the peace they have long sought.

All these beings are invited to listen to the Dharma together. Each one, according to their own capacity, will gain unique benefits. By doing so, they can cleanse the dust and pollution from their Body-Mind-Spirit. They learn to recognise their past mistakes, make necessary adjustments, and understand clearly what should and should not be done in their journey toward .
When karmic creditors hear the Dharma, they come to understand the truth of and the cycle of revenge. They become willing to resolve these conflicts and accept the liberation of Chao Du. This is a vital moment for them to turn from confusion to awakening. It is also a crucial method for saving beings and guiding them to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
All disciples must listen with respect, absorb these teachings, and truly change your ways. Only then will you be able to receive the true benefits of the Dharma. Namo Amituofo.
