An Interview with Ma Yun
Recorded on September 15, 2018

Ma Yun speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Ma Yun. Today, our group—three souls united as one—came forth to participate in the morning deliverance. Every single day, Practitioner Su leads us through various places to perform . Some of these locations are places we have visited before, while others are entirely new to us. Today, we arrived at a hospital. Before we even stepped inside, the pungent, overwhelming scent of medicine hit us. The place was teeming with spirits. Some were drifting aimlessly in the air, while elderly spirits leaned heavily on their canes. Others were sitting, waiting for consultations or medical examinations. I saw parents carrying their children, and the air was filled with the heart-wrenching sounds of children crying, the weeping of adults, and the low, pained groans of those lying in their hospital beds. I could hear the hushed, professional conversations between doctors and nurses.
At the same time, I could perceive the human world. It was the middle of the night, so most people were fast asleep, with only the duty doctors and nurses awake. It was a stark contrast—the hospital existed across different layers of space. The spiritual realms were frantic and bustling, while the human world remained eerily quiet. It was a profound realisation of how much we miss when we are confined to a single perspective."
A Tragic Reunion
"Suddenly, I heard the unmistakable cry of a baby. I looked closely and was shocked to see the wife of a friend I had known many years ago. She had been pregnant for ten months, but she had suffered a difficult labour. The medical intervention had failed, and both mother and child had passed away—a tragedy of two lives lost in a single moment. Now, here she was, holding her baby in her arms while waiting to see a doctor. I could still hear the baby crying! Could it be that even in the spiritual realms, she was still 'giving birth' and caring for her child? It was a situation from another dimension, and by some incredible stroke of fate, I happened to witness it at that very moment.
Just then, a brilliant Buddha-light shone down upon us. Everyone around us looked up in astonishment as the dark, gloomy atmosphere transformed into a realm of radiant brightness. Simultaneously, the six-character Buddha-name, Namo Amituofo, began to echo through the space. The chaotic noise that had filled the air suddenly fell into a profound, peaceful silence. I woke up to the urgency of the moment. I rushed down from above, opened my hands, and covered my mouth, shouting as loudly as I could: 'Everyone, quickly, chant Namo Amituofo! We must be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss!'"
The Light of Deliverance
"My friend's wife saw me and stared intently. I repeated the instruction to her again, with all the sincerity I could muster. She pointed to the baby in her arms, and I cried out, 'We will go together! We will all go together!' I saw her clutch the baby even tighter to her chest, and I heard her chanting 'Namo Amituofo' with such immense force and determination. The other sentient beings nearby, hearing her chant, began to follow suit. Suddenly, I saw the sleeve of Practitioner Su sweep across the space. It was like a powerful magnet; all these beings who were chanting were drawn into the sleeve of Practitioner Su. Their next destination would be the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Mother and child would finally be together, never to be separated again.
Practitioner Su, the work you are doing is so profoundly meaningful. It is something that those still living in the human world simply cannot achieve. But you have done it! You have truly achieved the impossible!"
Reflections on the Path
"For a brief moment, I had a wandering delusion: could I also learn the skills of Practitioner Su? But then, I realised that I am someone who has spent my life rolling in the mud of the and . I am perhaps too far from the purification required for such a task. It is far more practical for me to simply support and assist Practitioner Su in this noble mission.
Namo Amituofo."
