The world we perceive is but a collection of illusions, all held together by the invisible threads of affinity. Every life is linked to another in an endless chain of cause and effect. This is the reality of the human world, where every encounter and every separation is part of a larger, unfolding pattern.
The Web of Human Existence
Our experiences—the joys of meeting and the sorrows of parting—are not random occurrences. They are the manifestations of the we have accumulated through countless cycles of being reincarnated. You may ask, what is the true nature of this affinity that binds us so tightly to this world? It is the weight of our past actions, pulling us into the currents of samsara.
Namo Amituofo reaches out to save all beings through the power of affinity. The ultimate goal of this connection is to help you leave suffering behind and find the peace of the of Ultimate Bliss. This connection is not new; it is the fruit of the seeds you have planted in the past through the practice of giving.
The Path of Giving and Affinity
There are three primary ways to cultivate these seeds of affinity and merit:
- Giving the Dharma: Sharing the truth that leads to liberation and .
- Giving wealth: Offering material support to those in need with a compassionate heart.
- Giving fearlessness: Providing comfort, protection, and peace to those who are afraid or distressed.
When you cultivate these virtues, good affinities and Dharma affinities are woven into your life, thread by thread, guiding you toward the light of the Buddha.
Awakening Through the True Self
To achieve true Body-Mind-Spirit purification, you must consciously distance yourself from evil affinities that cloud your heart and lead you astray. By drawing close to good affinities and virtuous teachers, you gain the wisdom to resolve the difficulties that block your path.
Let the power of Dharma affinity guide your Body-Mind-Spirit. When you finally break free from the control of your past karma, you will realise your true self and attain the ultimate freedom of Buddhahood. This is the promise of the path, and it is available to all who seek it with a sincere heart.
