The energy we call 'Qi' arises from the very way we live our lives. Where there is life, there is this energy. However, we must pause and ask ourselves: what kind of life are we truly cultivating? We often allow our daily existence to be governed by the : greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt. Because of these, we manifest the energy of greed, the energy of anger, the energy of delusion, the energy of arrogance, and the energy of doubt. These energies cloud our true nature and keep us bound to the cycle of rebirth.
Furthermore, we often chase the : wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep. These are the very roots of the hells. From these attachments, we manifest the energy of wealth, the energy of lust, the energy of fame, the energy of food, and the energy of sleep. My child, how many of these are you currently harbouring within yourself? How many of these attachments are you still clinging to in your daily practice?
To have no 'Qi'—to be free from this turbulent, reactive energy—is the true way. This energy harms your body, your heart, and your spirit. It creates ripples in the stillness of your original nature. You must learn to transform this 'Qi' into zero. When you let go of these attachments and return to the Buddha-name, you reach a state of 'No-Qi.' In this state, all things become calm, peaceful, and clear. This is the path to leaving suffering behind and finding true happiness.
