It is the arising of the "self," personal ego, and selfishness. Within this state, ego and stubborn "self" are firmly rooted. You insist, "I am right, I am the one doing this, I am the one who is correct." This insistence draws forth your and causes spiritual obstacles to manifest. In this dusty world, you find it difficult to let go, and your concepts and views never leave you.
and karmic creditors take charge of your life. Where, after all, is your true self? Your spirit is scattered, flying in all directions, and there is a reason why you are unable to master your own life. Countless thoughts and consciousnesses belong to the past; to pick them up again is truly foolish. Everything is no longer as it was then; do not look back at the path you have travelled.
A wise person is one who lets go of subjectivity. As you let go of each attachment, you gain clarity. You will clearly see the infinite meaning within your own body, for it all resides in a single thought. If your thought is Goodness, then Goodness begets Goodness. If your thought is evil, then evil begets evil. To be without good or evil is to be pure. If you let go of subjectivity, you will attain this purity.
The Buddha-heart and Buddha-thoughts will always be with you, and your Buddha-actions and Buddha-vows will never leave your side. Chant the Buddha-name of twenty-four hours a day. If you can truly do this, how can subjectivity ever arise? You must constantly reflect and awaken. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
