During the third session of the , Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offers profound guidance on the power of and meditative concentration, revealing how to transcend the ego and align with our true self.

The Harmony of Heart and Body

When the heart is at peace, is at peace, and all things are at peace. Conversely, when the heart is agitated, the body is agitated, and all things are agitated. This cycle of internal and external movement is the root of our suffering.

Subduing the Restless Mind

Equanimity and meditative concentration can subdue reckless agitation and transform one's temperament. This state creates a stable magnetic field, born from faith in oneself and in the Buddha. Thus, one finds peace of heart, is free from fear, and takes up the burden of practice directly.

The Unshakeable Foundation

Within equanimity there is meditative concentration; within meditative concentration there is equanimity. No external force can shake this. If one can maintain this at all times, keeping the heart constant in equanimity and meditative concentration, one will be without waves or fear, and free from the "self," personal ego, and selfishness, thus being in sync with the true self.

The Manifestation of the True Self

In this deep meditative state, the true light of -nature naturally manifests; this is known as awakened being. By letting go of the habits that cloud our vision, we allow the light of our original nature to shine through. This message was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.
