To be righteous is to align oneself with the correct track and the righteous path. Whether we consider the rotation of the Earth or the direction in which the human heart leans, within the context of the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, one must turn according to the correct track and walk according to the righteous path. When everything one does is aligned with the righteous path, there is no room for bias, crookedness, falsehood, or evil. Positive energy and a righteous spirit will naturally arise from within. One will feel at ease and have no shame in one's heart; this is the essential quality possessed by a true practitioner.
Only through selflessness and the realisation of can one be truly at ease, honest, and pure. If there is even the slightest trace of impurity or distraction, it is considered tainted rather than pure, and this will create obstacles to your righteous turning. When the human heart turns righteously, will naturally follow in righteousness. Conversely, when the body is righteous, the heart must also be righteous. This is because the heart can transform the body, and the body can also transform the heart.
In this mutual transformation, the outcome depends on which energy is stronger. If the energy of righteous turning is stronger than the energy of negative turning, you can transform that negative energy back into the righteous path, allowing all things to proceed according to the righteous path. We must understand the roles of our body and heart in this process.
The body acts as the vessel, the place where and other sentient beings reside, carrying the trajectory of one's karmic life. The heart acts as the spirit, the place where the nature of the spirits is revealed. If the body and heart are in harmony, pure and natural, and you walk according to the righteous path, the opportunity for an awakened being will manifest.
