Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
Heart, Vows, and Actions Follow Amitabha, Spreading Throughout Space and the Dharma Realm
You may have entered the Buddha’s gate to practise, but do you still find yourself harbouring attachments to certain people or unresolved matters? Even if you do not speak of them in your daily life, do these thoughts surface unexpectedly in your mind? Especially in the quiet of the night, after you have fallen asleep, do you find yourself occasionally drifting back to the past? These lingering thoughts are the subtle chains that bind you to the cycle of rebirth.
To truly let go means to release and to abandon. It means to sever the ties of attachment completely. You must understand that this is done for a higher purpose: to save yourself, to save more beings, and to assist your family members and those connected by karmic affinity. By sacrificing these temporary emotions, you gain the achievement of in this very lifetime. This is a profound exchange, for once you have achieved this state, you will be empowered to save countless more beings. It is absolutely worth the effort.
Consider the beings with whom you have had karmic connections in the past; they are waiting for you to achieve success so that they may have a chance at salvation. Your current family members are, in fact, beings with whom you have had karmic connections in the past. They have now obtained a human body, yet they remain among the beings waiting to be saved. If you have not yet achieved your own Awakening, you are also among the beings waiting to be saved. How, then, can you hope to save them? You must first secure your own path.
At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, Namo Amituofo is truly present. This is the perfect time to save beings and guide them toward rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. You must grasp this opportunity firmly, for this is also the moment when those connected to you by karma can be saved. Those who truly see through the illusions of this world and let go of their attachments will engage in diligent practice. They do not waste a single minute or second, for they understand how rare and difficult it is to encounter Namo Amituofo in this world. It is an opportunity that is difficult to encounter in millions of years.
As Practitioner Su has often stated, if Namo Amituofo were not present in this world, there would be no one to rescue the human realm. Without this divine intervention, all beings would suffer immensely. In this Five Turbidities and Evil World, it is truly difficult to save beings, and even more difficult to save people. You must seize this lifetime; do not allow yourself to fall back into the cycle of rebirth. If you miss this chance to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, when will you ever have such an opportunity again? Recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
