The Weight of Past Karma

The sins we have committed in the past are profound and heavy. When these karmic consequences manifest before us now, our hearts tremble in fear and trepidation. Even if we are only aware of a tiny fraction of the wrongs we have committed, our karmic creditors are already surrounding us, filling our bodies with their presence and their grievances. Every suffering we endure—whether it is physical pain, mental anguish, or the trials of old age—is a direct result of our past mistakes. How, then, can we possibly clear away the heavy karma that covers our entire being?

The Power of Sincere Repentance

The only way to resolve this is through compassion and sincere repentance. Only by truly repenting can the sufferings of old age and illness be brought to an end. As long as you possess this physical body, you must make it your true practice to change your ways. By admitting your faults, resolving conflicts with those you have harmed, and performing Chao Du for sentient beings, you can transform everything and fulfil your deepest wishes. Do not wait until you have lost this body to leave behind only sorrow and resentment. You must act now while you still have the opportunity to turn your life around.
