The Guardians of the Pure Land

During the Thrice Yearning Ceremony and the Noon Offering, we turn our hearts toward the profound work being carried out by the Salvation Team at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This dedicated group serves a vital purpose in our world. Beyond their daily participation in the Chao Du rituals alongside the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su, they have achieved remarkable success in a mission of great compassion.

When the regions of Goombungee and Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia, faced the severe hardship of drought, it was this team that undertook the task of circling the globe while chanting the name of Namo Amituofo. Through their collective effort, they successfully invoked the rain, bringing relief to the parched land and its inhabitants. They are truly the unsung heroes of our time.

Transforming the World through Chanting

The members of the Salvation Team practise with utmost sincerity, maintaining their focus 24/7. By continuously chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, they do not merely seek their own purification. Instead, they actively distribute the meritorious power of the Buddha's name throughout the Earth and across the vastness of space. This constant flow of positive energy serves several critical functions:

• It purifies the magnetic field of the Earth, restoring balance to our environment.
• It neutralises the accumulation of negative entities that cause suffering and discord.
• It contributes a vital force of peace and stability to the world, helping to alleviate the collective karma of humanity.

The Path from Darkness to Light

Who are the members of this extraordinary Salvation Team? They are a diverse assembly composed of:

• External Bodhisattvas from the cosmos who have come to assist in this mission.
• Bodhisattvas from the Milky Way who share in the vow to save all beings.
• New Buddha-disciples who have recently entered the path of the Dharma.

Many of these beings were once part of the demon crowds. However, through the boundless compassion of Namo Amituofo and the guidance of Practitioner Su, they have been transformed and subdued. They have turned away from their past wrongdoings, embraced the right path, and entered the Buddha's path. Because of this profound change, we respectfully address them as Bodhisattvas.

Returning to the Western Pure Land

Each member of the team now radiates with auspicious characteristics and dignity. They are diligent in their practice, chanting with such clarity that their hearts have opened, becoming bright and luminous. They have found the true nature within themselves. When the time comes for Practitioner Su to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, this entire Salvation Team will follow, led by him to their final home. They will leave behind the cycle of rebirth and dwell forever in the light of the Buddha, having fulfilled their vow to save infinite suffering beings.
