The State of Natural Knowing

The Clarity of Awakening

These teachings were recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe, on the twenty-first of April, 2023. Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offers this profound insight into the state of an awakened being. When one reaches a state where everything is transparent and clear, the world reveals itself in its true form. Your eyes can see the essence of things, and your ears can hear the truth behind the sounds. There is no need to ask questions or seek external answers, for you naturally know everything with absolute clarity. In this state, all phenomena are understood with perfect, luminous wisdom.

The Power of Meditative Concentration

Upon this foundation of clarity, deep meditative concentration arises. No matter how the external world changes or what transformations occur, your heart remains unmoved and entirely undisturbed by external conditions. While your body remains active and capable of handling all worldly affairs, you do so with perfect harmony between principle and practice. Your spirit—comprising the three hun souls and seven po souls—is complete, cohesive, and powerful. Because your spirit is so robust, you can settle your physical form and truly master your own destiny. You remain entirely free from the interference, harassment, or attempts at displacement by external spirits.

The Harmony of Body, Mind, and Spirit

When the true self takes command of the body, it works in perfect coordination with the mind and spirit. This allows the three—body, mind, and spirit—to function as a unified whole, or to operate independently as the situation requires. This integration maximizes your ability to save the world and rescue endless suffering beings. The body, with its Six Roots perfectly purified and luminous, possesses unique and profound capabilities. It can teach beings, deliver lectures, and truly engage in the practical work of saving the world and rescuing those in need.

The Boundless Reach of the Spirit

The heart, when settled in meditative concentration, acts as an anchor that stabilizes both the body and the spirit, allowing them to reach their full potential. Furthermore, the spirit can perform Chao Du through the power of the Dharma Body. By manifesting in countless manifestations, the awakened being breaks through the rigid limitations of time and space. You can open up space, performing the vital work of Chao Du to save beings within those spaces and throughout the vast spirit realm beings. This is the true appearance of an awakened being. Everything is known naturally, and everything is done naturally, without effort or artifice. Namo Amituofo.
