This is the path of the practitioner who seeks to leave suffering behind and find true happiness.
Recognising your own shortcomings and working diligently to strengthen them is also a sign of true ability. A wise person is one who can discover their own limitations without ego. When you can transform these limitations into strengths, and use that growth to benefit all beings, you are a brave person. This process of self-improvement is essential for your spiritual journey.
Compassion is the ability to embrace the faults and shortcomings of others. It is the heart that remains open even when others falter. To maintain a calm heart and uphold the Six Harmonies is the mark of one with great ability. When your heart is still, like water without waves, you have achieved true meditative concentration. Upholding the Six Harmonies is the light of the monastic community, guiding all beings back to their true nature.
