Most people perceive fog simply as a natural phenomenon. They believe it is nothing more than water vapour condensing in the air, creating a soft, ethereal atmosphere that adds beauty to the landscape. When you walk through a thick mist, you might feel the dampness clinging to your skin or notice the way it obscures the horizon. Some even find it picturesque, pausing to take photographs to capture the fleeting, mysterious quality of the scene.
However, there is a deeper, more profound reality that remains hidden from our physical eyes. While it is true that fog consists of water vapour, it is also a space where countless spirits reside. These sentient beings are everywhere, and they are often trapped within the very mist that we walk through so casually. Like a thin, grey veil, the fog carries the silent, sorrowful stories of lonely souls who have nowhere to return to. It reflects their profound sense of helplessness and the vast, desolate emptiness of their existence in this dimension.
It is possible that your own departed family members are among these spirits, drifting in the mist. You may not realise that this is where they have ended up, caught in a state of transition. Because they exist in a different dimension, they are unable to voice their suffering or reach out to those they once loved. They remain in the fog, lost and unheard, while you and I walk past them, completely unaware of their presence or their silent cries for help.
How can these suffering spirits find their way home? It is only through the compassionate power of and the dedicated work of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre that these dimensions can be opened. Through their intervention, the spirits trapped within the mist can finally receive the benefit of . They are rescued from their isolation and guided toward the light, allowing them to leave their suffering behind and find true happiness in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
