The Urgent Need to Transform Your Personality

The Roots of Manifestation

Every event that is about to manifest in your life has its roots in the past. When the conditions are ripe, the fruit will inevitably appear, and the event will come to pass. Often, we may not see the specific grievances or hatreds that have accumulated over time, yet we find that demon crowds are present, causing disturbances within our lives. These demon crowds create karma without any sense of fear or hesitation. They do not realise the gravity of their actions, nor do they understand the suffering they inflict upon themselves.

When these demon crowds obstruct the work of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in saving the world and delivering beings, the consequences are severe. Because the Dharma affinity of Namo Amituofo pervades the entire Dharma Realm and empty space, obstructing this work is equivalent to blocking the salvation of all beings throughout the universe. The karmic retribution for such an act is beyond calculation. It is a state of extreme suffering, leading to many lifetimes of ignorance and confusion, where one remains unable to see the truth.

The Warning to Demon Crowds

We must counsel the demon crowds to let go. They must cease their interference with the efforts of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to save the world and deliver suffering beings. The laws of karma and cause and effect are absolute and never empty. Do not take the risk of tasting such bitter fruit, for the consequences will be inescapable.

The Vulnerability of an Unsettled Mind

If your practice is firm and your heart is resolute, the demon crowds and karmic creditors will find it difficult to disturb you. However, if your intention is not firm and your Buddha-recitation is not settled, these demon crowds and karmic creditors can easily pull your spirit into other space. This is precisely why many practitioners find that their personality traits remain unchanged, and why they struggle with persistent issues such as:

• Drowsiness during practice, which clouds the mind and prevents clarity.Being easily pulled into other space, leading to a loss of focus and spiritual direction.An inability to improve one's state, despite long periods of effort.

The Path to True Transformation

I urge all students to thoroughly and rapidly transform your personality. To achieve this, you must be willing to let go of the following:

• Your attachment to this physical body and the constant desire to satisfy its cravings.The deep-seated emotional attachments to your family members that you find so difficult to release.The Five Poisons: Greed, Anger, Ignorance, Arrogance, and Doubt.The Five Desires: wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep.

By letting go of these, you can truly commit to the path of Faith, Vows, and Practice. When your heart is firm and unwavering, you will find that you can effectively block interference from the demon crowds and resolve conflicts with all beings. This transformation will allow you to stop the processes of aging and illness, purify your Six Roots, and make genuine progress in your practice. Ultimately, this is the only way to rediscover your true self and return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
