In the journey of spiritual cultivation, diligent practice is the essential fuel that propels one forward. To seek progress with a focused and singular heart is the only way to achieve true success. When we speak of practice, we are referring to the absolute dedication of the heart. If you can remain diligent and unceasing in your efforts, you will be able to maintain your momentum, ensuring that you move forward without ever retreating. You must continue to practise, again and again, until the path becomes clear.
Through such persistent effort, you will naturally develop a deep and unshakable confidence. This confidence allows you to focus entirely on your path without allowing any distractions or impurities to enter your heart. When the heart is truly focused, it attains a state of meditative concentration. In this state, you are no longer swayed by external circumstances or the fleeting phenomena of the world. Therefore, unceasing diligence is an indispensable condition for achieving success in your practice. As the saying goes, diligent practice is truly beneficial.
At this very moment, here at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, Practitioner Su lives by the principle of making one day count for two. He encourages the fourfold assembly to do the same, and there is a profound reason for this urgency. It is not merely a suggestion for general practice; it is a necessity for our current situation. Consider this: is truly present here at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, personally guiding the fourfold assembly in their practice. We are walking together on the path toward becoming an awakened being, working to save the world and rescue all suffering beings.
The fourfold assembly must seize this precious opportunity. You should embody the spirit of diligent practice and the practical application of making one day count for two. With Namo Amituofo leading the way, and following the guidance of your Teacher and Practitioner Su, you must move forward with unwavering resolve:
If you can truly align your heart, your actions, and your vows in this way, you will undoubtedly reap the fruits of your practice. This is the way to benefit not only yourself but all beings throughout the universe. Namo Amituofo.
