The Wellspring of True Contentment

Where does true contentment originate? It does not come from external circumstances, but from the depths of your own heart. When your heart is clear and luminous, you can perceive the true reality of all things. You will no longer be deceived by the fleeting appearances of the external world or the internal disturbances of your own wandering thoughts. My dear children in the , regardless of what has transpired in your past, you are now residing in the Buddha-land. The golden form of Namo Amituofo stands before you, and His radiant Buddha-light shines upon you. Through this light, all sentient beings within your body receive the benefits of the Dharma.

Even if you cannot yet feel or see this light, the beings within the Dharma Realm and those residing within your own body are experiencing its energy and warmth. They see Namo Amituofo standing before them, welcoming all beings into the . This is a truly magnificent blessing. Do you realise this? Can you find true contentment in this?

A Sanctuary Within the Buddha-land

Outside the temple, the pandemic spreads, and people are filled with fear. Life and death are uncertain, and the future is difficult to predict. Yet, you who are here within the temple are under the constant care of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Practitioner Su. You are protected by the Dharma protectors. Here, the temple works to resolve the conflicts of your and perform for spiritual attachments. Because of this, you are blessed with many things:

  • Your physical body remains healthy and strong.
  • Your spirit is uplifted and purified.
  • You have sufficient food and warm clothing.
  • You live in a pure environment where your daily life is peaceful and secure.

This is the Buddha-land. Do you realise the rarity of this opportunity? Can you find true contentment in this?

The Call to Fierce and Diligent Practice

It is truly not easy to find yourself in such a sacred Buddha-land. If you truly understand this and are genuinely content, you must transform that gratitude into action. You must engage in fiercely diligent practice. Let go of all other thoughts and distractions. Your primary task at this moment is to focus your heart on seeking the Buddha's path, to see their true nature, and to join the Buddhas in saving the world and resolving the suffering of all beings.

My dear children, do not let this precious opportunity for practice in the Buddha-land go to waste. Cherish every moment, for the path to is open to those who are truly sincere. Namo Amituofo.
