The character 'No' serves as a profound and essential guide for every practitioner on the path to liberation. To refrain from committing the Ten Evil Deeds is of the utmost importance, for these actions bring deep and lasting suffering to both and the spirit. True wisdom lies in the discernment of knowing what must not be done and possessing the inner strength to refrain from such actions. When you deeply understand the nature of cause and effect, you will naturally choose to walk the path of virtue, protecting your spirit from unnecessary harm.
Do not persist in actions that you know to be wrong. When the time for arrives, no one can bear the weight of that suffering for you; it is a burden that must be carried alone. It is far better to live with a heart that is open, bright, and transparent, like the clear light of the sun. By choosing the right path, you ensure that your journey remains unburdened by the heavy chains of past mistakes, allowing your spirit to remain light and free.
Never forget the suffering that all beings currently endure. Through diligent practice, you can overcome the various tests that life presents to your body and mind. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into the or . By maintaining this distance, you allow your Six Roots to become pure. When the mind is transparent and free from blemish, you will naturally realise your true nature. This is the path to true freedom and the ultimate goal of our practice.
