As we stand at the threshold of the New Year, we must engage in the vital work of clearing away the dust of old impurities. This is not merely a physical act of cleaning, but a profound spiritual necessity. We must sweep away the barriers that have accumulated between ourselves and the world, letting go of the attachments that weigh down our spirits. By clearing these old obstructions, we create the space necessary to welcome the fulfilment of our deepest vows within our hearts.
When we successfully clear the old, we open ourselves to the new. This process of renewal is essential for the purification of our body, mind, and spirit. As we invite this new energy into our lives, we must ensure that our intentions are aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When our hearts are pure, we begin to perceive everything with absolute clarity. We move from confusion to , from wrong paths to the right path, and from impurity to purity.
The power of purification lies in its effectiveness. When we purify our intentions, we initiate a profound shift in our very nature. By knowing clarity, we perceive all things with the wisdom of the Buddha. By knowing goodness, we manifest it in every action. By seeing the truth, we pierce through the illusions of the world. By knowing how to transform our habits, we turn every situation towards a positive outcome. If you understand the necessity of change, then every moment becomes an opportunity for transformation.
The arrival of the Spring Festival is a time of celebration, but we must be careful not to mistake a temporary change in the calendar for a permanent change in our spiritual state. If you only seek change during the holiday, it will be fleeting. However, if you expand your heart and mind to embrace the vastness of the , your transformation will last for a lifetime.
Do not be misled by the temporary distractions of the world. Instead, use this time to attain a deep and lasting awakening. By focusing on the eternal, you ensure that your progress is not lost when the festivities end. This is the true meaning of the New Year—a fresh start that leads us closer to the of Ultimate Bliss.
