During the third session of the held on March 8, 2024, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered profound guidance on the nature of our existence and the transformative power of the heart.
Our journey in this human world is not infinite; it has a definitive end. We cannot simply act according to our own whims or desires, for we are bound by the natural laws of and cause and effect. These laws operate continuously, and while we may feel that our circumstances are fixed, there is a way to navigate them.
The only true method to transform your circumstances is through the diligent practice of the . When you transform your heart, your environment will naturally follow. This is the natural state of all things—a spontaneous manifestation of the heart's own purity.
This environment we speak of is not merely the world outside; it encompasses the entire kingdom of your own body. Consider the complexity of your physical form:
Your entire body is a landscape of these conditions. From your hair and bones to your saliva and the water within your cells, every part of you is an environment that reflects your state of mind.
Just as a kingdom is governed by its ruler, your body is governed by your heart. The heart is the King. When the King changes, the soldiers, the officials, and the civilians—the beings within our bodies—all follow suit. This is the vital importance of the heart's state.
If you can govern your internal kingdom with a heart of benevolence, , and wisdom, it is a great blessing for your body and a stroke of fortune for all the beings within you. When the heart of the King is transformed, the policies and methods used to govern the kingdom change accordingly. Consequently, long-term peace, stability, and prosperity for the entire realm become possible.
When the heart is transformed, the beings within our bodies can finally find peace and stability. They will no longer disturb your physical or mental state. When this internal harmony is achieved, the path to becoming an awakened being becomes clear.
Through this transformation, you can look forward to a state where you not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die. This is the ultimate promise of the path—a life of eternal clarity and peace, guided by the light of Namo Amituofo.
