Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe. On this day, January 29, 2022, we reflect upon the profound guidance offered by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju regarding the importance of walking the Right Way.
The Right Way is one that is perfectly aligned with the Truth and the Universal Principle. To walk upon this path, remaining free from deviation or crookedness, is the fundamental requirement for the hearts and actions of every practitioner. This path is in complete harmony with the Universal Principle that governs all existence. When we align our inner state with this principle, we are truly walking the path of .
If all people in this world were to walk upon the Right Way, living their lives in accordance with the Truth and the Universal Principle, the impact would be profound. The very movement of the Earth within the celestial bodies would remain in its proper orbit, balanced and unswerving. Our collective acts as a resonance for the world around us; when we are upright, the world is upright.
However, when the hearts and actions of people become biased or crooked, they stray from the Right Way, the Truth, and the Universal Principle. Consequently, the Earth itself begins to deviate from its natural orbit, and the magnetic fields of our planet experience disturbances. This disharmony affects the lives of all people and all earthly creatures. We find ourselves unable to live in accordance with the natural rhythms and cycles of the universe.
Because we have strayed from the Truth, we become trapped in the cycle of suffering, aging, falling ill, and dying in the cycle of reincarnation. We continue to perform our roles in this endless drama, life after life, with no curtain call in sight. This cycle persists because we have lost our connection to the original nature that is inherently pure and aligned with the Right Way.
To walk upon the Right Way means to live without violating the . This is the most effective way to protect your own practice. By maintaining the Precepts, you create a sanctuary within your own heart, ensuring that your progress toward the of Ultimate Bliss remains steady and secure. Let us commit ourselves to this path, ensuring that our every thought and action remains in sync with the Truth and the Universal Principle. .
