Every single person possesses the radiant light of their true self. This is the very essence of the Buddha-nature, the light of the Buddha that shines eternally from within. However, many of you remain obscured by layers of karmic dust, unable to perceive this brilliance. You have come to the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre precisely to remove these obstructions and return to your original purity.
When newcomers arrive, they often bring with them the weight of their past , which manifests through their body, mind, and spirit. These obstacles cannot be removed in an instant; they require time, patience, and a sincere commitment to the path. By entering this sanctuary, you have established a profound affinity. Under the compassionate light of , you are protected and guided as you begin your journey of transformation.
Hsiang Kuang is currently in a period of focused, pure practice. This is the ideal time for all disciples to unite their hearts and minds in a single, shared purpose. If you are diligent in your practice and make genuine progress, you will find that your body, mind, and spirit become healthy and vibrant. This state of inner clarity is the best way to welcome new light into your life.
You must be diligent in your practice. This requires a steadfast commitment to the rules of the centre, for they are designed to protect your progress. If you find yourself violating these guidelines, you must treat it as a serious warning. Reflect upon your actions, correct your mistakes, and resolve never to repeat them. Be aware that falling into a state of during your practice is not merely a physical fatigue; it is a form of that hinders your spiritual growth.
The skill of chanting Namo Amituofo must be cultivated until it becomes a natural part of your being. This is the fundamental practice of the Pure Land path. As you learn to transform your personal habits and ego, you will find that your tendency toward drowsiness begins to fade, replaced by a clear and alert mind. When you uphold the and maintain meditative concentration, wisdom will naturally manifest.
Your meditative concentration must be authentic and stable; do not let it be easily shaken by external circumstances. When your mind fluctuates, you become susceptible to the suffering created by your own karma. Instead, learn to see the good in all things, look for the good in others, and strive to do good in every moment. Everything that is truly good begins from this very moment of intention.
When your heart is revealed and you see your true self, the precious light of the Pure Land will manifest within you. This is the ultimate goal of your journey, and it is available to you if you remain steadfast in your devotion.
