When the Heart Opens, Liberation Follows

The Heavy Burden of the Heart

We have never truly understood how much we carry within our hearts. We hold onto countless knots of resentment, layers of past grievances, and an endless stream of complex emotions. We often convince ourselves that we have forgotten these things, believing they no longer exist within us. Yet, in truth, they have not been forgotten at all; they remain deeply embedded in our consciousness. While the world may view this as a normal part of human existence, for the practitioner, it is a great obstacle—a significant ailment that hinders our spiritual practice.

The Illusory Nature of Existence

All the grievances and emotional entanglements of the past must be let go; do not allow them to remain. Every single one of these attachments acts as a barrier, preventing you from seeing your true self. You must bring these burdens into the light of repentance and then, with a sincere heart, release them completely. In reality, this world is nothing more than an illusory dream—a fleeting scene that leaves nothing behind. When you look back, where are these things now? They have vanished without a trace. Why then, do you insist on keeping them locked within your heart, refusing to let them go?

The Path to True Liberation

When will your heart finally open? The moment your heart opens is the moment you find liberation. By opening your heart, you untie the many knots that have bound you for so long. To all the beings connected by karmic affinity to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, understand this: this Dharma assembly is your opportunity to chant Namo Amituofo and secure your path to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the ultimate liberation. Since everything is illusory, you must be willing to let go. Do not leave these attachments in your heart, for they only serve to leave stains upon your spirit.

The Urgency of Transformation

The moment you let go of everything is the moment you achieve true liberation. This is the wisdom required to break through the darkness of ignorance. If you remain in a state of foolishness, unable to transform your perspective, you will continue to carry your delusions into the cycle of rebirth. You will find yourself trapped, suffering, and tossed about by the waves of samsara. This is truly not worth the cost. You must transform your mind quickly. The moment you are able to transform, that is the moment you will find liberation. We invite you to focus your mind on the Buddha, make the vow to be reborn in the West, and attain your place in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo.
