Throughout your many lives, you have wandered through the cycle of rebirth. Have you ever paused to consider where your spirit goes when this physical body eventually fails? When the life force departs, the spirit does not simply vanish; it is propelled into one of the six realms of existence. This transition is not random, but is governed by the profound laws of and cause and effect.
Your destination is determined by two primary factors:
If you have lived a life of kindness and virtue, your spirit remains pure and light. Naturally, you will be drawn toward the celestial realms, guided by the weight of your good karma. In these higher states, you may be welcomed by celestial beings and enjoy the fruits of your virtuous actions. This is considered the path of goodness within the six realms of existence.
Conversely, if you have lived a life of malice, greed, or ignorance, your spirit becomes clouded, heavy, and stained by negative karma. You will inevitably be drawn toward the lower realms of suffering. This is in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way; just as water flows downward, the spirit burdened by negativity descends into the darkness of the lower paths.
There are also beings who have fallen into the influence of the demon realms. These entities are often trapped by their own internal and external struggles. We must understand the nature of these influences:
Because these beings are bound by their own evil actions and lack awareness, they suffer immensely. They are subject to the inescapable laws of karma and cause and effect, often finding themselves trapped in the deepest, most painful regions—within frozen mountains, beneath the earth, or amidst searing flames—enduring the consequences of their past deeds.
We must take this moment to reflect. With Practitioner Su compassionately descending to subdue these demonic influences and guide them toward the Western Land of Nature, a rare window of opportunity has opened. If you are currently under such influence, do not continue to interfere or cause harm to others. Instead, protect the True Teachings, or surrender and seek entry into the Buddha-land. This is a precious, life-saving opportunity that you must not squander.
Where is this body and spirit truly heading? The world is vast and filled with the suffering that arises from our own karma. Yet, in this very moment, we are fortunate to hear that Namo Amituofo is residing here at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This is a blessing that is difficult to encounter in millions of years.
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre exists to provide a place of peace for both your body and your spirit. It is a sanctuary where you can find rest and direction. Ultimately, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is the final destination for every spirit seeking true liberation. Cherish this Dharma affinity, for it is the bridge to your eternal home.
