The Path of Purification

Venerable HaiZe, you must cleanse the dust and grime accumulated over countless lifetimes. By removing these defilements, you will attain purity and joyfully behold the radiant Buddha-light.

All the laws of the world are contained within the heart and mind. The weariness, worries, and sufferings of the world are all stored within the . Whether in this life or in other realms, throughout the cycle of reincarnations, the world changes, and you yourself are no longer the same person you once were. Now that you have returned to the Buddha-land and resumed the life of a monastic, you must quickly gather the respect of others and embody the dignity of a great practitioner.

The Unchanging Nature of the Mind

The paintings by Practitioner Chan are ancient and peerless. You may wonder why the character for 'ten thousand' is the only one used. You must understand that this represents the Middle Way. Both the Buddha and the demons possess the same original nature.

This true self is unique and unchanging; it has no additions and no subtractions. It contains everything, yet it remains untainted in the void. It is both existence and non-existence, yet existence and non-existence are the same; they are not different from the heart and mind. The mind is originally one. Everything arises from this original mind. Since the mind gives rise to all phenomena, where do the ups and downs come from? Where do the fluctuations originate? They arise only to respond to the conditions of sentient beings. When you return to this singular state, you will see your original mind.

The Weight of Karmic Debt

When the is understood, all things flow smoothly. There will be no obstacles, and you will be able to save yourself from whatever hinders you. Consider the time when the temple was first established and the many offerings that were received. If those offerings were kept for personal gain, one would be creating the of the hells, from which it is difficult to escape.

To avoid the suffering of the hells, you must remember never to hoard or hide anything for yourself. If your intention is to protect your own interests, your body will engage in mixed practices, and your mouth will create various forms of negative karma. This is how one falls into such a state.

as a Vessel for Practice

If you do not like this body, you must encourage yourself to work harder. Diligence is the right path, and this body is a precious treasure. Everyone must learn to practise. You may choose to purify your intentions, cleanse your body, or clarify your aspirations.

The void looks upon you, and the Dharma Realm awaits. The beings of the world are scattered throughout the human world. What the void explores is not necessarily reality, but even if it is not real, you have a body that can be used for the benefit of others. Now, purify your body so that it may serve all beings. The relationships between parents and children are all shared karmic bonds.

Subduing Demonic Enemies at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre

Demons are also sentient beings, and because they are sentient, they have afflictions. They possess different brain waves, and these waves permeate the environment. When karmic debts are settled, the hells are already resolved. If you encounter the light of the Dharma, you must quickly move away from the demons.

At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the work of subduing demonic enemies is not a task of a single day; it is a continuous effort, and Practitioner Su is here to ensure this. The demon crowds will naturally be subdued by the fragrance of faith and virtue, which spreads throughout the body. Those who hear this must reflect upon themselves.

Proceed to practise, purify your heart with respect, and receive the sounds of the Dharma. The "self," personal ego, and selfishness will gradually fade away through this process. You will gain the benefits, and your original face will be revealed. Ultimately, you will be able to let your true self shine throughout the vast universe.

This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
