All Things Are One: A Discourse with Namo Amituofo
Teachings from Namo Amituofo
Recorded on August 27, 2017

On August 27, 2017, during the morning walking meditation, Practitioner Su was guiding the spirits of Steve Jobs and Shi Changren to perform for the Apple Inc. company. It was discovered that within the components of the devices, such as the screws, there existed immeasurable and boundless spaces, all of which sought purification and Chao Du. This was an inconceivable event. I humbly requested the compassionate teachings of Namo Amituofo.
The Infinite Layers of Existence
Namo Amituofo provided this discourse: Existence is layered in endless succession. Every layer is a world unto itself, and space is truly infinite. The layers are endless, the worlds are endless, and the capacity of the heart is endless. , too, is endless.
What can the Six Roots truly perceive? When you are free from thoughts and attachments, you reach the infinite. is a composite, limited and finite, yet the storehouse of is boundless, containing both the pure and the impure.
The Harmony of the Spirit
The spirit can be infinite. The three hun souls and seven po souls combine to form the spirit, and they must support one another. Each part of the spirit has its duty; when they are stable, the spirit is at peace. If one is lost, the original dwelling is disturbed. When the assigned duty loses its stability, the spirit loses its natural state, and illness may arise.
The length of one's life is determined by other causes—mostly by , though few can change it. Only those who truly make a vow and put it into practice can be called capable. Karma is fixed, but the power of a vow can change one's destiny. Whether you can truly transform your path depends on your future actions.
The Path to Liberation
Everything, whether sentient or insentient, possesses consciousness and is subject to the cycle of reincarnated life. To leave this cycle, you must let go of consciousness. How do you let go? Consciousness contains everything; to have nothing is to have . When there is no thought, consciousness is empty, and this is the state of having no consciousness. This is true purification. When purity appears, it is transparent. The body cannot limit you, and the spirit becomes free.
When the three hun souls and seven po souls are complete, they transform into the , free from all limitations. The depth of your skills determines the reach of your Six Roots. This is your true self, as it has always been. This is the . When you practise the (Discipline), Concentration and Wisdom, you ascend to higher levels.
The Equality of All Things
When you reach this stage of practice, you come and go with ease. You are free from the cycle of birth and death. You become like Earth Store , who sees the earth as himself; like Avalokiteshvara, who embodies selfless compassion; like Manjushri, who possesses infinite Wisdom (Prajna); and like Samantabhadra, who puts vows into action. All Buddhas walk the same path.
Namo Amituofo’s vow to savebeings is shared by all, yet manifested differently according to the hearts of beings. In essence, the Buddha's path is one. The Buddha-heart is equal, and all things are the same. There is only one Buddha-nature, and together we shall attain the Buddha's path.
Recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
