Rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss — Cui Shengxiang (Mother of Li Lingzhi)

Lay Practitioner Cui Shengxiang:

Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are truly so compassionate! So many of us from different places have the opportunity to be led by the Buddha to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. We were all truly ignorant while alive, living in our own worlds, knowing nothing—not knowing what the Truth or the righteous path is, and not knowing the universal principles that one should follow as a human being, which is why our deaths were so tragic.

Now, we are all gathered together, transformed in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, completely different from before. I was once a woman, and now I have a dignified male form, looking much like the Buddha. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, everyone is the same; there is not much difference in appearance because this is a truly equal world. I am very grateful for the Buddha's compassion. I know that for someone who died as tragically as I did, it would have been impossible to go to a good place. Looking around, most people are just like me.

I was originally in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, where I still felt somewhat uncomfortable and emotional. After a few weeks, I have been purified quite a bit, and my heart has become much more stable, which is why I now have the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I truly have no more wandering thoughts.

To be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, everyone must undergo purification and possess a certain level of meditative concentration, rather than having the same personality as before. I have now been transformed and have decided to learn the Buddha’s skills, letting go of my own feelings and subjectivity. In the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I also slowly corrected my thoughts, gradually becoming more and more like the Buddha, and only then did I have the opportunity to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss!

I am very grateful to Namo Amituofo, grateful to Practitioner Su, and grateful to my child. I know that my child, Li Lingzhi, registered me for the Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Only then could I be led by the Buddha-light and have the opportunity to leave the space of my suicide at that time and come to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Otherwise, I do not know how long I would have had to repeatedly experience the process of suicide in that space! Thinking about it, it is truly the tragedy of life.

Today, I want to speak very frankly to everyone about my life; I do not want to hide anything. Many people are like me, with many things suppressed in their hearts that they cannot express, eventually leading them down this path. People in the world may not understand. Let me tell you all honestly: the truth about suicide is that many people feel they can no longer go on and want to end their lives, which is why they act this way. But in fact, many times, those who commit suicide do not truly want to die.

Take me for example; although I had this thought, I did not truly want to die. But because I had a strong personality, my body was completely controlled by beings, karmic creditors, and many demon crowds, which is why I reached this point. Otherwise, a perfectly fine person would not walk down such a path. This was caused by a heart illness that had accumulated over a long time.

Therefore, you must never keep things bottled up in your heart; you must find the correct way to resolve the conflict. Everything in your heart is not something you can master yourself; it is influenced by beings, not your own intention. People are just used to being led by the nose and have no meditative concentration at all; however, this is also because of their own strong personalities, which is why they attract such an outcome. I have now seen through all of this, so I have let it go and will no longer dwell on how things were in the past.

I also advise everyone that being able to know the Buddha and receive Buddhist education is the most important thing. Especially my good child, you must take my words to heart and not walk down the old path of being pursued by karma. This path your mother took is not easy; you have seen it with your own eyes and know what your mother did wrong. Therefore, you must, must be a person with an open personality who is happy to help others; think of others in everything, and do not think only of yourself. Life can be lived very happily, the heart can be broader, and without afflictions, that is what a true practitioner of the Buddha’s teachings should look like.

I envy my good child for being able to learn the Buddha’s teachings at this age. It is not like me in the past, reaching the end of my life without being able to find true resolution, which is why I had such a fate and life path. Today, having learned the Buddha’s teachings, I thoroughly know that one should recite "Namo Amituofo" to the end, adjust one's personality, and not have too many feelings; this is the original face of a human being! I am very grateful for the compassion of Amitabha Buddha and Practitioner Su. I hope my life can serve as a lesson for everyone.
