The Cellular Symphony of Namo Amituofo
An Interview with the Spirit of Steve Jobs
Recorded on September 8, 2017, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre
This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Steve Jobs, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now reflects upon the nature of life, , and the spiritual reality he has witnessed. This testimony was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on September 8, 2017.
Steve Jobs speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Today has been a day of absolute wonder—a day that defies every conventional definition of reality I once held. For most of my life, I believed that life force was defined by the biological functions of —the complex machinery of human, animal, or plant life. But recently, I have been observing the body of Practitioner Su, who is seventy-three years old. I discovered that the flow of blood, bodily fluids, and energy within her is as smooth and natural as that of a young person. It is a miraculous, entirely different manifestation of life force.
Today, I made an even more startling discovery. While walking through the corridors of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre during the morning session, I realised that the limitations of time and space had simply vanished. In that state, the corridors themselves ceased to exist. I looked at the cells within Practitioner Su’s body, and I saw them breathing. They were chanting the Buddha-name. It was incredible! Countless, uncountable numbers of cells were opening and closing their 'mouths' in rhythm with their breath. And they were producing sound—the very same sound of the Buddha-name that was playing through the speakers during our walking meditation: Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo..."
A Microscopic Symphony of Light
"These were cells, without a doubt! I know what cells look like; I studied their structures under microscopes back in school. At the time, it was just a dry academic exercise—I felt nothing. But here, the cells I see within Practitioner Su are transparent, radiating a brilliant, translucent light. It is absolutely beautiful! The cells in her body are leading the chant, and behind them follow long, wide rows of other cells. They are all so different—some long, some short, some wide, some narrow, some irregular, and some perfectly shaped. They emit various colours: black, dark grey, pale purple, white, and faint yellow. The most advanced ones glow with a soft, radiant golden light, though none quite match the gentle, shimmering brilliance of the cells in Practitioner Su’s body.
Even these cells have eyes and mouths. When I watched them chanting, I could see their mouths smiling. Others were different—some had their eyes squinted, some were yawning with their mouths wide open, and some were half-asleep, caught in a dreamlike state. One cell was wide awake, its eyes open, chanting clearly, while another was swaying back and forth so much that it made my own eyes dizzy. I even saw one cell that looked incredibly fierce, as if it were a debt collector who had been cheated out of a fortune. These cells were constantly being pushed forward. Some would suddenly vanish halfway through—they had retreated back into the host's body, perhaps exhausted and returning home to rest. The clarity of these changes was just like watching a high-definition documentary under a microscope. Could it be that my own eyes have gained the power of a microscope, or perhaps the wisdom to interpret this reality?"
The Cosmic Scale of Deliverance
"Expanding my vision, the sky transformed into a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours, mirroring the earth below. The air itself was filled with sounds like firecrackers, but these sounds originated from the very fabric of space. The chirping of insects, the rustling of trees, and the songs of birds were all instantly transformed into the sacred chant: Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo. It was a symphony of high, medium, and low pitches—a mix of every conceivable sound. Even if the melody wasn't perfect, the sincerity in their chanting was unmistakable. My ears seemed to have become 'heavenly ears' capable of hearing across vast distances.
Can you imagine the sky filled so densely with sentient beings that there wasn't a single gap left? If a tiny space appeared, it was immediately filled by other beings. Practitioner Su said it was like the Lunar New Year—and she was right! It is filled with , as if everyone has just won the lottery. They appear and vanish, appear and vanish, constantly being replaced and renewed. Even the Bodhisattvas from the four corners of the universe are watching with immense delight. So many have come to participate in this grand assembly for rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Some told me they have been waiting for thousands of years! There is an ancient legend in the Demon Realm that, after thousands of years, a sage would appear who could transform the demon crowds and lead them to become part of the holy assembly. They believe Practitioner Su is that legendary figure, and they are willing to follow her, hoping to be transformed and become part of the sage’s path. As they spoke, I saw gratitude and anticipation shining on their faces."
The Transformation of the 'Work Demon'
"In truth, everyone has a kind side hidden deep within their heart. They only become part of the demon crowds because they cannot overcome their own resentment or dissatisfaction with certain events. If they can encounter that power of wisdom, they can be transformed and led away from that state of mind. Deep down, they crave the sense of belonging that comes from being affirmed and accepted. This is a fundamental human nature that should be recognised by everyone. If we could understand this, we might be more empathetic when faced with similar situations, perhaps preventing many tragedies. It turns out that 'demons' are simply beings whose specific personality traits or temperaments have become more pronounced than those of ordinary humans.
I remember when I was alive, I would sometimes shout in anger at people over things that didn't go my way, leaving them feeling humiliated just to vent my own frustration. I must have looked like a demon with my eyes wide open and my hair standing on end! No wonder some of my colleagues and employees called me a 'work demon.' Having gone through these experiences, I understand myself much better now than I did then. But look at me, I have digressed! This is what we call 'deliberative thinking'—it only increases one's afflictions. It does nothing to help us see the truth unless it leads to actual improvement. Otherwise, it is just making excuses for oneself."
An Invitation to a New Reality
"I now see batch after batch of sentient beings arriving from the boundless void. As soon as each one enters this space, they are infected by the laughter and joy. What a beautiful world this is! It turns out that one must possess such a vast mind-capacity and grace to enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Practitioner Su is truly an engineer of spiritual transformation. She works alongside us in the air, busy greeting and guiding beings forward, while the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas lead the way. Meanwhile, the Venerables and lay practitioners of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre are walking and chanting.
It is now between 2:45 AM and 4:00 AM. Every day at this time, while the rest of the world is fast asleep in their beds, we are busy guiding sentient beings to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss! Would you like to experience such a life? I welcome everyone to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Your life will undergo a different kind of realisation and verification—a brand new life you have never known before. If you wish to explore the deeper meaning of life, coming to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is the right choice. You will be filled with boundless gratitude and joy!
