The Deliverance of Mo Pan: An Ancient Demon of the Milky Way

Mo Pan, an ancient demon of the Milky Way with a history spanning 6.1 billion trillion years, sought refuge and deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Having resided in the mountains of Western Sichuan for thousands of years, he was eventually saved by the compassionate light of Namo Amituofo and the countless manifestations of Practitioner Su. This interview was recorded on March 16, 2026, by the chief writer, Fa Ning, to document his transition from the demon realms to the Western Dharma-Nature Land.

Mo Pan speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I, Mo Pan, have been waiting here for quite some time. Although I was never a demon known for my eloquence—or perhaps I should say, I was never skilled at expressing myself through words—now that I have arrived in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, those old habits have vanished. The concepts of 'liking' or 'disliking,' of being 'willing' or 'unwilling,' no longer exist for me. Everything now follows the arrangements of Practitioner Su, and I have realised that this is such a comfortable, peaceful, and refreshing way to exist!"

A Life of Low-Profile Discipline

"I never knew I could be like this. In the past, I was always anxious about interacting with other demon crowds, and I was never good at speaking my mind. People might ask me, 'With a personality like that, how could you ever become an ancient demon? Even a Demon King needs to coordinate and communicate well with his demon children and grandchildren!'

So, how did I, an ancient demon, conduct myself? In the demon realms, we do not necessarily need to express our thoughts as loudly as humans do. We communicate through intent, and my spells and commands were always concise and clear. Therefore, after emerging from such a long period of meditative concentration, I have cultivated a very low-profile skill set. Stability and humility—perhaps that is the true nature of Mo Pan."

From the Milky Way to Earth

"In my long years within the demon realms, I have been a demon of the Milky Way for 6.1 billion trillion years. That age sounds ancient, but looking at the list of demon crowds saved by the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I am actually just a mid-level ancient demon. How did an ancient demon from the Milky Way end up on Earth?

I lived on a planet in the Milky Way, then entered meditative concentration, and upon waking, I found that an immense amount of time had passed. When I woke up after my second period of meditation, my demon descendants called upon me. They were in a dire situation and needed my help: 'Our demon palace and our planet have been destroyed by invaders.' They were heartbroken and helpless. I could not do much for them, so many of them chose the same path as I did—to enter meditative concentration. They were quite old, and the risks of remaining in the demon realms were too high. After guiding them into meditation, I decided to explore other planets to find a new home. That is how I found Earth."

The Transformation of the Earth

"I did not have many choices, but the moment I laid eyes on Earth, I knew it was a perfect place for our kind. Many regions had spring-like weather all year round, pleasant climates, abundant water, soil, and light. It was a wonderful place to live. The Earth of that time was vastly different from the Earth of today. If you looked at Earth from afar, the physical eye might not have seen it, but with the 'demon eyes' of our realm, the Earth then radiated a bright, spiritual energy. It was full of vitality and very attractive to demon crowds, especially those of us looking to spend our twilight years in comfort and ease.

However, the Earth has become much heavier today. This heaviness is not because the planet itself has gained mass, but because the environment is permeated by a grey, murky energy. This is why the demon crowds on Earth today behave so differently from those of the past. The demons of the past did not possess such intense 'demon nature.' Take me, for example: I came to Earth with a calm and low-profile mindset to retire, and many others did the same. Our magnetic fields resonated with the Earth, so we settled here. You can see that the Earth back then was clear and transparent—much purer than it is now."

The Rise of Modern Control

"The demons attracted to Earth today do not have the same 'good' intentions as those of the past. I cannot say we were 'good-hearted'—we demons are not known for that—but at least the demons of the past were calm, their demon nature was not so aggressive, and their methods of controlling humans were very weak. Most of them only came here to absorb the energy of the land and space; they did not interfere much with the lives of humans—the primitive humans of that time.

Now that I have arrived in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, a Buddha-land, my eyes are even clearer, and I see things much more deeply than I did as an ancient demon. Looking back at the world of demons on Earth, I see that they are no longer what they used to be. Every one of them has a stronger demon nature and a much greater desire to control humans. Or perhaps, it is a case of 'one is willing to beat, and the other is willing to be beaten.' I see humans controlled by demons, living lives that seem happy on the surface. Demons manipulate human thoughts, enticing them to engage in behaviours that are highly stimulating to the body but detrimental to spiritual growth. People are immersed in this, feeling incredibly happy, completely unaware that they are under the control of demons.

Take the 'lust demons' as an example. The difference between the current situation and the past is stark. Today, lust demons are rampant on Earth, which is completely different from when I first arrived. In the past, there was no such thing as a 'lust demon.' People understood moderation. In the past, marital relations were for the purpose of procreation; they were not excessive, nor was there an over-indulgence in desire.

Regarding the current state of degradation, humans have developed relationships to a point of no return, filled with heavy, murky energy. Lust demons control the masses, inducing them to commit acts that violate their good roots and ethics, leading everyone to suffer retribution in hell. The methods of the demons are becoming increasingly intense, yet people are still enjoying it, completely unaware that they are entirely under the control of demons. The tragic scenes I see now are truly unbearable to witness. This is the current situation of demons running rampant on Earth; the saying 'one is willing to beat, and the other is willing to be beaten' is truly accurate."

A Longing for Peace

"As I mentioned, I have arrived at the Western Dharma-Nature Land of Practitioner Su and Namo Amituofo, have I not? This world is truly the world I have longed for deep in my heart. I never knew that despite running rampant in the demon realms for so long, I was actually craving true peace and stability. This is why I chose to settle on Earth in the first place—that was at least ten or twenty thousand years ago. Looking back at my state of mind then, I realise that I was never suited for the demon realms; I should have been with the Buddha long ago, but the causal conditions had not yet matured, and I did not have that level of blessings. Now, seeing everything in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, it is truly dignified and pure. My heart is much more at ease.

As for why I was so fortunate to be brought to the Western Dharma-Nature Land by Practitioner Su? I was a demon of the Milky Way, and I chose a stable place on Earth to live, a place called China. Based on current maps, China is one of the greatest nations in the world. At the time, I was attracted to this land with its mountains, rivers, deserts, and oceans—it had everything I needed. When I wanted to be alone and enter a state of semi-meditation, I could go to the deep mountains or the depths of the water without worrying about being found by other demons. If I wanted to travel to seek energy or broaden my horizons, I could wander across this land and find everything I needed.

I am very easily satisfied, so I settled in the western part of China, in the high-mountain regions. Looking at the map today, I know that the place I lived is called Sichuan. In the western part of Sichuan Province, there are high mountains and lakes, and it is sparsely populated—very comfortable.

Let us call this place what people refer to as 'Western Sichuan.' I was an ancient demon based in Western Sichuan, and later I developed my influence there. The scale was neither too large nor too small, but the scope of influence was quite significant. My demon children and grandchildren followed me in vast numbers. They were very keen on building demon palaces and expanding their power, and I followed their wishes. In the Sichuan-Yunnan region, and even reaching into Tibet, there are traces of my demon palaces. These places are beautiful, not as densely populated as the big cities in Eastern China, and the people are relatively simple. I stayed there for a very long time; settling down there was something that happened thousands of years ago. My demon palaces and caves were hidden deep in the mountains, canyons, or at the bottom of lakes.

Speaking of this, you might be curious: am I really a demon? I seem to have no desire to control humans, and I always go to places that avoid crowds and densely populated areas.

You are right. In fact, at my age, a demon no longer has the desire to do anything earth-shattering. On the contrary, my demon children and grandchildren are spread throughout Western China, and they have established demon palaces in many provinces. When I took them in, I told them: 'Whatever you do, whether it is good or bad, you must remember that we are demons, and there will come a day when we face retribution. Please consider your actions carefully and do not go too far. For kind people, try not to harm them. If you really need energy, first judge that person's character. If that person is truly evil and brings negative development to society, then it does not matter if you absorb their energy. But for ordinary, decent women or people without heavy selfishness, do not lay your demon hands on them. As for the selfish ones, whatever you do to them is a matter of your mutual resonance and your respective karma; I will not say much about that.'"

The Compassion of the Buddha

"And so, my demon children and grandchildren are all quite 'Buddhist-like.' They try to target those whose beliefs are biased or incorrect, and who clearly violate the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, using them to gain energy. Haha, I am now in the Western Dharma-Nature Land watching my demon children and grandchildren, and they are listening to these words of mine. They know I have met the Buddha. In fact, many of them still possess a kind nature. They are all happily nodding their heads, watching their old demon sitting peacefully on a lotus seat. Some of them even seem to envy me.

I told them not to worry: 'If your heart is not at peace, just chant "Namo Amituofo." With the speed at which Practitioner Su is saving mainland China, you will soon be saved and taken away. Remember not to hide yourselves too deeply where you cannot be seen. Otherwise, just chant this Buddha-name well. When the Buddha comes, it will naturally resonate with your mental state, and you will be taken away. A happy and expectant heart is the right way.'"

The Moment of Deliverance

"In fact, many of my demon children and grandchildren did not want to become demons in the first place. Many of them had poor personalities when they were human, and after being dragged into the demon realms, they could not turn back. But the things they did were not necessarily 'demonic' acts, and many still have kind hearts. They only do the most basic things required in the demon realms to maintain their status, while their core remains kind.

These are the general circumstances of my large group. Having said that, let me tell you how I arrived at the Western Dharma-Nature Land. It truly happened in an instant; there was no time for much thought. I was still wandering in the Western Sichuan area. The land there is vast, and in many places, the air is thin. I was absorbing the pure, natural energy of the Earth, which was not murky at all; the magnetic field there was much better than in the big cities. When a beam of Buddha-light shone down, I watched it with my own eyes, but before I could react, I saw my demon palace disappear. Looking back, it was not just one palace that vanished; palaces everywhere collapsed and disintegrated in an instant. Some simply vanished without leaving a trace.

At that time, not only I, but many beings and my demon children and grandchildren were filled with astonishment, eyes wide open, watching everything happening around us. In a short while, everyone was directly 'immigrated' to the Western Dharma-Nature Land, sitting on lotus seats. When everyone came to their senses, they saw the tall and majestic Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and they knew that from then on, they would be living a different kind of life.

I, Mo Pan, have lived for such a long time and am considered a 'big boss' in the demon realms. I did not have a deep concept of the Buddha's teachings. I only knew that the provinces where I resided were those where Buddhism was more prevalent in mainland China, and most of what they worshipped and believed in was Tibetan Buddhism. It was evident that many of these Buddhists were not like those in the eastern cities, or like the vegetarians Practitioner Su speaks of. Many people there, even the devout followers of Tibetan Buddhism, had the habit of eating meat. I, Mo Pan, saw this and did not think much of it; I just felt that there were so many sects and categories of Buddhism. I thought I had no deep affinity with the Buddha's teachings, and I did not particularly want to learn anything from them, which was because I knew nothing about the Buddha's teachings in the past.

All of that is not important anymore. What is important is that we have encountered the true Buddha's teachings this time, because the true Buddha has come to the world! All of us demon crowds and beings of the spiritual realms have seen with our own eyes that this is the first time in the Dharma Realm, on Earth, and even in the entire Dharma realm of emptiness, that we have discovered a Buddha in the human world conducting large-scale deliverance events.

This really shocked us! The one who came to shine such great light upon us is Practitioner Su, carrying the Buddha-light of Namo Amituofo, along with Practitioner Su's own countless billions of manifestations. We had all heard of this person, 'Practitioner Su,' but we did not know if he was real. In the past, many demons did not believe that someone could put the word 'Buddha' after their own surname. This is inevitable, as we are all beings full of suspicion. When everyone heard the name 'Practitioner Su,' especially those in remote areas, they thought it could not be a real Buddha. They only knew the name was very famous and that he seemed to have done many great things, but they knew nothing of his true actions.

This time, we witnessed it with our own eyes and participated in it personally, and only then did we know that Practitioner Su is a real Buddha—a Buddha who has truly awakened on Earth and has vowed to save all suffering beings. And behind Practitioner Su is the renowned Namo Amituofo. We are even more convinced of this, because we recognised the compassionate face of Namo Amituofo at a single glance.

Of course, Practitioner Su is also so compassionate, always smiling at us. That smiling, kind appearance truly warmed the hearts of every one of us demons. Practitioner Su's skills are truly extraordinary. In the human world, only after truly awakening and making a great vow can one cultivate such skills. Only by having no fear of any demonic interference or the interference of beings, and by having no attachment to the sensations of one's own body, joy, anger, sorrow, or happiness, can one possess such skills as Practitioner Su.

Not only that, Practitioner Su's heart is completely free of pollution. We can see from here that Practitioner Su's entire heart is transparent and bright; one can see directly that his heart is empty, with no messy thoughts within. Such a person is definitely someone we demons cannot approach or control.

But speaking of this, why have so many demons been casting spells on Practitioner Su? We cannot touch Practitioner Su's heart, but these demons can touch Practitioner Su's body! After all, he is a Buddha in a physical body. However, a physical body existing in the world is different from the countless billions of manifestations. This physical body is precious; do not underestimate it. It is precisely because of this physical body that Namo Amituofo can truly abide at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, conducting such large-scale deliverance for the people of Earth, and it is why there is this large-scale deliverance that has shocked the spiritual and demon realms of all of China.

This physical body is too valuable! We have always watched Practitioner Su say that he is not valuable, and every one of us in the demon realms shook our heads. If Practitioner Su's physical body is not valuable, then we truly have no face left. If we still consider ourselves treasures, then not to mention the demons, even you, the fourfold assembly of disciples, should feel incredibly ashamed.

Speaking of this, I think my demon children and grandchildren are all very moved. Oh! Everyone is longing to arrive at the 'Western Dharma-Nature Land' soon. In this place, everyone's heart is so peaceful and stable, knowing that they have a destination, right?

The land of mainland China is so vast, and there are so many demons. Our group is considered to have relatively strong Buddha-nature, so it is not much; but my demon children and grandchildren come from different worlds, and I do not know their backgrounds well. But I know they all come from completely different spaces. Many of them are Earth demons, and they are not old; they are very young. If you know any demon friends belonging to other Demon Kings or ancient demons, remember to communicate with them more. Tell them: the large-scale deliverance that Practitioner Su is conducting across China, carrying Namo Amituofo, is so shocking and so moving. Please, everyone, put down your demon bodies and become Buddhas; do not be demons anymore.

Many demons became demons because they did not understand the truth or the facts. Who would be willing to be a demon and suffer such tragic retribution in the future? I think there are not many demons who have a deep understanding of the laws of karma and cause and effect. And my demon children and grandchildren, since you have already understood this, please work hard to spread this message in the demon and spiritual realms.

First, Namo Amituofo truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

Second, Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is carrying the Twelve Lights of Namo Amituofo, along with his own countless billions of manifestations, to save all the demons and beings of China.

Those with good roots must wholeheartedly chant this 'Namo Amituofo' and head to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to seek Spiritual Deliverance. Do not be demons anymore; being a demon is too painful!

Oh! I, Mo Pan, urge my demon children and grandchildren, and I also urge the demons who are still holding onto people in China at this very moment—whether you are inside or outside their bodies controlling them—if you have met the Buddha, then let us all surrender to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su!

Life in the demon realms may have temporary pleasures, but the retribution of incomparable suffering that follows is truly not worth it. I truly feel it is not worth it for you, and I am comforted by the great environment you are in at this moment. Because the Buddha has come, you can choose to put down your demon bodies and become Buddhas at such a young age; this is a very magnificent and rare thing. 'Difficult to encounter in millions of years' is the truth. If you miss this time when the Buddha has come to the world, it will not be easy to wait for the next time you encounter a Buddha. Everyone, remember my words!
