Recorded by Chief Writer Shi Fajing on July 2, 2024

This interview was recorded on July 2, 2024, by Chief Writer Shi Fajing. It features the testimony of an ancient entity known as Demon Huang, a being from the Demon Realm who has existed for sixteen billion years. Demon Huang describes his methods of controlling human souls through the digital world and his eventual encounter with Practitioner Su, which led to his current residence in the Western Land of Nature.

Demon Huang speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Huang. In my days within the demon path—a span of sixteen billion years—the word 'failure' has never once appeared in my existence. To put it simply: I have always been successful in my endeavours.

There are many demons in our realm, but not every Demon King can claim the level of success I have achieved. Other demon kings have often come to me, seeking to understand the secret behind my accomplishments. I have never been stingy with my knowledge; I tell them directly that there is no secret. I simply understand the needs of those I control and satisfy them, thereby achieving my own objectives with ease.

To humans, I am a demon. But in my own view, I am not bad, nor am I evil. I even consider myself to be doing 'good' work, because I possess the ability to discern what each person craves and provide it to them, allowing them to obtain exactly what they desire in their hearts.

The Illusion of Complexity

I have heard people say that 'humans' are complex. In truth, humans are not complex at all; they are quite simple. Once you understand the 'human heart,' there is no such thing as complexity. They are easily held within our grasp because their desires are so transparent.

Many people live in great agony. The various dissatisfactions in their lives lead them to despair, filling them with negative and emotions. The human body is not actually capable of enduring such constant negativity for long. Therefore, naturally develops self-regulating mechanisms to make itself feel better, or at least to find the strength to continue existing.

During this process of regulation, many people actively seek ways to divert their attention. Those with healthy mental notes might choose positive methods—such as exercise, research, or creative pursuits—to focus their spirit on other matters. By doing so, they avoid dwelling on those negative feelings, and over time, their condition improves significantly.

The Path of Self-Destruction

However, there is another group of people who do not choose these positive methods. Instead, they opt for behaviours that are harmful to their own bodies. They, too, want to feel better, but their methods differ drastically from the former group.

What methods do these people use? Some choose to drown themselves in alcohol, living temporarily in a drunken state where everything is blurred, numb, and tingling, devoid of deep sensation. Others live in the grip of drug addiction, using the artificial pleasure triggered by narcotics to momentarily escape the pressures and pain of reality. Some choose to commit criminal acts, finding a sense of stimulation and excitement in the process that allows them to temporarily flee from their original negative feelings. And then, there is the group we are currently actively controlling: those who choose to lose themselves in the digital world.

The Digital Trap

The group we primarily control consists of people who cannot find a goal in life, or who feel a lack of value and meaning. They find life tedious, or they suffer from psychological situations that they cannot resolve. They choose to go online, becoming addicted to the digital world. Inside, they do not need to spend money; they simply open a computer, sit before the screen, and allow their to completely detach from reality, entering a space they prefer.

How attractive this method is to young people! Because they are young, many have not yet begun to work, yet they have already started to experience the feeling of 'pain' in their lives. This pain makes them unhappy, and many wish to escape. They have no money, so they cannot vent through massive shopping sprees, nor can they run away from home or buy a car to race. However, the moment they enter the digital world, they discover that many of the things they originally wanted to do can be satisfied there.

Many of these young people desire romance, and the digital world helps them. Some cannot resist the cravings of their own bodies for lust, and the digital world satisfies them. Some are so stifled and angry that they want to take a knife to someone or shoot a gun, and the digital world satisfies those desires as well. Some want to wage war on the world—that, too, is no problem at all.

The Harvest of Souls

Regardless of what desires these young or middle-aged people have, if they lack the resources to act on them, they choose to enter the digital world. Once they are inside, we satisfy their needs. From the moment they enter, they feel an immediate sense of , and from then on, they never want to leave. They want to permanently cast off the shackles of real society.

To 'permanently' cast off reality is, of course, impossible, because their bodies are still alive in the world. However, we can help their 'spirit' jump out of the framework of the body, allowing their spirit to truly reside in the digital world for a long, long time.

These souls we have taken are in the digital world, within the space they like best. Regardless of what their bodies are doing—perhaps attending school, working, or sleeping in bed—their spirits remain in the digital world, still in that space, doing things that make them feel happy.

Once these spirits enter the digital world, is there any way for them to leave? Under the control and protection of our demonic power, it is quite difficult.

In fact, even if we did not control them, they might not want to leave. Think about it: why would they want to leave? The real world is so painful, and the digital world is so happy. Naturally, they want to hide in the digital world; why would they ever want to leave? So, even without our control, many spirits are willing to stay there.

The Suffering of the Abandoned Body

When these people's spirits enter the digital world, what becomes of their bodies? Many of these bodies have been occupied by our demons; others have been invaded by external spirits, and some are trapped in the hands of . Their bodies are left to the mercy of these spiritual invasions, causing their actions to be harmful to their own physical health.

We enjoy seeing humanity suffer. When the body, mind, and spirit cannot be harmonised and unified, the body must suffer. That kind of pain has no medicine to cure it and no exit to be found. Even if there is a digital world to numb oneself, the entire person remains trapped in pain, unable to find liberation.

We have no intention of letting this group of humans go. In truth, the spirits of those we have targeted have all had karmic grievances with us in the past, or they themselves have harmed others in the same way in previous lives.

In the entire universe, we cannot find the word 'forgiveness.' In our view, there is only revenge and mutual slaughter. Therefore, everyone should be subjected to ; everyone should repay the wrongs they have committed.

We came to Earth and finally found these connected people. We controlled them. Their spirits feel anger and resentment. Once they become demons like us, they will go on to control others, letting everyone live in the hatred of revenge. This will be a perfect world.

The Encounter with Practitioner Su

Practitioner Su represents the Buddha; he represents peace and . We demon crowds have never wanted to deal with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas because we feel our philosophies are completely different. It is like this: the Buddha wants to save people, while we only want to harm them. The Buddha wants everyone to attain liberation, while we only want everyone to remain deeply trapped in pain. Thus, we are the exact opposite of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

However, Practitioner Su took the initiative to find us and entered our digital world. When we saw Practitioner Su, we all knew that things were going poorly, because we knew a little of Practitioner Su's power, but we never expected him to set his sights on our digital world.

Everyone gathered their strength to deal with Practitioner Su, wanting to protect our digital world. Even now, there are still many demons fighting, but many have already been defeated. Like me, they have been sent here to Practitioner Su’s Western Land of Dharma Nature.

If you ask me if I have repented, I seem to be unclear about what repentance is. I only feel that my work was left half-finished, and I had not yet reached my desired goal. We also felt that these people suffering such pain was a result of their own past actions; no one else is to blame.

However, after listening to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks, I seem to understand many things I did not know before. Especially regarding compassion, tolerance, and the laws of and cause and effect—these have begun to penetrate our minds. Only now do I understand how to let go, to repent, and to change my ways."
