On the ninth of August, 2017, the Buddha’s disciple, Shi Faxi, respectfully invited Namo Amituofo to bestow His compassionate teachings upon us. Namo Amituofo graciously provided the following guidance on the nature of our existence.

The Unchanging Laws of the Universe

The morning dew glistens with the promise of a new day. The biting cold of night transforms into frost. As the sun rises to provide warmth, the cycle continues, and the cool of the evening returns. A single day passes in the blink of an eye, and the seconds never cease their forward march. Everything in this world moves forward.

The Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way are unchanging. They are never biased; they speak only of the reality of existence. That which is natural is inherently true, and that which is pure is inherently clean. Like a flawless piece of crystal, the original nature of all things is without blemish.

The Solitude of the Autumn Years

Consider the people living in Australia. They possess a pure nature, working diligently and enduring hardship to provide for their families. Yet, as they reach the autumn of their lives, the children they raised have long since flown from the nest like birds, leaving the home empty and quiet. The two elderly parents remain, relying on one another to survive the remaining days, passing the time in a void of emptiness.

They wait only for the end of their lives, having lost the vibrancy of living. Though they share the same physical space, their hearts have long drifted apart. They are no longer truly together, for the truth of their situation has never been revealed to them. It is only through these teachings from Namo Amituofo that the reality of their condition becomes clear.

The Turbulence of the Human Heart

The many facets of human life change as rapidly as the transition from morning to night. In an instant, circumstances shift, and often, they do not bring . Because we are sentient beings, we are constantly subject to the pollutions of the world. We have our own thoughts, and these thoughts are always changing. Because we do not see the truth, we are constantly subject to impermanence.

In this human world, the dust of existence is heavy, and it is our emotions that weigh upon us the most. These emotions lead us into confusion, and we find no moment of . Our hearts are often suspended in anxiety, like water rippling in the wind. The waves never cease, and the water remains murky and turbid. How can it ever become clear? When will we finally awaken to the truth? We are trapped in a vat of emotional defilements, and once we fall in, it is difficult to climb out. Even if we try to brush away the dust, we still see the dust because our hearts are still filled with .

Transcending the Cycle of Emotion

Without great strength, it is truly difficult to overcome this. To see through the illusions of life requires more than just words; it requires a heart that is steady, refined, and pure. One must be completely unmoved, regardless of the storms that rage outside. True practice means transcending these worldly emotions, for it is our attachments that cause us to sink into the cycle of rebirth. To truly benefit, one must be free from these emotional entanglements.

that is clouded by emotion often leads to disaster, whereas the Great Righteousness of the Buddha’s teachings can extinguish such suffering. Only the Truth is truly good, and only by seeing the world clearly can we find our way. Most people remain in ignorance because they seek to escape their reality rather than facing it. We must let go of selfish thoughts and work broadly for the benefit of all beings.

Raising Vessels for the

Though the world is difficult to save, we are all one family. If we can counsel one another to let go of our attachments, we can expand our hearts and deepen our practice. We are all of the same essence and the same root, having come into this world of suffering together. Though we manifest in different forms and bear different names, these are merely the results of our past actions. Our discriminations are the dust that blinds us, but our wisdom-life is one and the same.

We bring children into this world not to foster attachment or to possess them, but to raise them as vessels for the Dharma. We must pass the teachings on to them. In this chaotic age, where people see only the differences between themselves and others, selfishness has become the norm. The state of the world is withering, and education is failing. We must propagate the principles of the Buddha, for only the Truth can transform the dust of this world. To make life truly meaningful, we must live for the sake of all beings, not for our own selfish desires. May you have the sincerity to believe in the benefits of the Dharma, for it is the essence of the Truth transmitted directly to your heart.
