A New Beginning Beyond the Veil

A different world is here, and a different life begins here. In this realm, there is no ending, for there is only an inexhaustible source of energy and light. It is a place of profound peace that transcends the limitations of the world we once knew.

When I was still living in the world, I had a vast circle of acquaintances and friends. I never once stopped to consider whether there would come a time when I would no longer be there. I certainly never imagined that I would one day be communicating with all of you in this manner. In the past, who would have thought about what their future would become? Who could have clearly understood how terrifying the state after death might be? I was a man of great confidence. I approached every task with immense courage and determination. I never wavered or hesitated. If there was something to be done, I dared to do it, and I was certain that I would see it through to completion. Furthermore, once I had committed to a task, I was determined to do it better than anyone else, to surpass all others. That was the man I was in the past—the Lee Kuan Yew that the people of the world knew.

Reflections on a Life of Ambition

While I was still in the world, people held me in awe and respect. However, since I have departed, how many people still truly remember me? The relationships between men and women in this world are truly only temporary. Since arriving here, I have had many profound realisations. Upon reaching the of Ultimate Bliss, I have been able to let go of so much. I have come to see that the world is governed by such simple truths, yet in my past life, I never once paused to consider them.

To be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is the most magnificent achievement one can attain. Yet, most people today are not pursuing this. They are constantly immersed in the and of the world. With so much technology, so many dreams, fantasies, and cravings, the entire world has sunk into a state of deep confusion. In such a place, where can one still see a truly awakened person? Where can one find those who are genuinely seeking the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss?

The Beacon of Truth at Hsiang Kuang

The Truth exists, and it is found only here. There are many places of practice, holy sites, and centres of purification in the world, but none are as magnificent as the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This is because, beyond the Truth itself, there must be a pure and sincere practice. One must be free from even the slightest trace of desire or wandering thought. One must possess a heart of great and act with the conduct of a Buddha. This is what true practice is.

I have witnessed the footsteps of the Buddha here. I have seen the path, and I am deeply moved. I have realised that there are still people in this world who are working so diligently to serve, not for their own benefit, but out of a hope to save infinite suffering beings. Such a selfless heart, which seeks no reward, is the most brilliant treasure in the world. I, Lee Kuan Yew, hold the deepest respect for every sincere monastic and every who serves here.

A Father’s Hope for His Children

In particular, I am filled with admiration for the vast mind-capacity and the great compassion of Practitioner Su. I truly marvel at the work being done here. It is my sincere hope that my children may one day come here to see this for themselves. A different world is here, and a different life begins here. There is no ending here; there is only an inexhaustible source of energy and light.

I hope that my children can all cultivate good thoughts and live a better life. A good life is one that finds the way to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I will be here waiting for all of you. We shall reunite here in completeness and perfection. Namo Amituofo.
