A Vision of the Infinite Dharma Assembly: Steve Jobs' Observations
An Interview with the Spirit of Steve Jobs
Recorded at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre
This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Steve Jobs, who sought deliverance and observed a at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This testimony was recorded on September 4, 2017, by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.
Steve Jobs speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Every single day here brings a new discovery. It is more exhilarating than winning the greatest lottery in the world. I never expected that Chang Ren would have such immense popularity within the Demon Realm. He is even revered as a Heavenly King of the Western Heavens among the demons outside our universe. There are so many diverse demon-Bodhisattvas present here. At first, the sight was dizzying, a chaotic blur of forms. Yet, in a single instant, they transformed into a sea of beings dressed in pristine white robes. Many even manifested the appearance of monastics.
Their faces, as Practitioner Su described, seemed to have been sculpted by those magical hands. The entire person became so dignified. The reason monastics are able to keep their six roots pure is reflected in their external appearance; that is precisely what commands such deep respect from the human heart. The Thrice Yearning Ceremony is presided over by Namo Amituofo. The Buddha’s body naturally radiates infinite light. Why, then, did I, Steve Jobs, see the Buddha smiling today? It was a smile born from the depths of his heart—a compassionate smile that felt profoundly subtle and dignified. There were many other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in attendance whom I did not recognise, but I knew instinctively that this was the natural manifestation of a practitioner’s state. This must be one of the aspects of the supreme, profound, and subtle ."
A Sky of Unbroken Golden Light
"I have witnessed so many astonishing things! Have you ever seen a sky that, even in the middle of the day, is filled with golden light without a single gap? Have you ever looked out and seen a space packed with heads, with not even a sliver of empty room? Under the power of Practitioner Su’s , one group is sent away, and another immediately arrives. Each group belongs to a different lineage; they move forward in an orderly, yet somewhat unfamiliar, procession.
Throughout the Dharma assembly, the voices of Practitioner Su and the various virtuous ones echoed, shaking the very earth. It was as if the sound was being amplified, carrying a rhythm that rose and fell with perfect stability. In fact, I saw many celestial beings singing along; they seemed remarkably familiar with the liturgy of the Dharma assembly. The air was constantly filled with a fragrance that was both subtle and rich. There was almost never a moment of stillness. The scene before my eyes was constantly pulsing and shifting—it was an invisible, dynamic, and colourful display. All the technology of the human world could never capture this scene, nor could any video file store it. It seems that scientists and research teams still have a vast amount of room for improvement."
The Mystery of the Infinite Feast
"The scene of the noon offering was something I had never seen before. Every table was laden with an abundance of food. And this food was inexhaustible—you would pick up a piece, and another would automatically appear in its place. There was no need for washing, cooking, or serving. A table full of dishes would be cleared by one group, and as soon as the next group sat down, a fresh set of dishes would appear, still steaming hot. I observed that this was not limited to just this space; other spaces were exactly the same.
In truth, we do not need to eat with our mouths; we never feel hungry, and we always feel full. Those tables, those plates, and those bowls exist so that one can experience the most delicious flavours while eating. This, too, is an expression of . After all, we are all beings governed by our of sight, taste, and smell. Adding a little extra colour, fragrance, and flavour simply adds to the of the experience."
A Meeting Room Without Borders
"At times, this place feels like an infinite meeting room, without borders. You never know when you might encounter someone you knew in a past life, greeting them like an old friend. And what if you encounter an enemy? I should say that in this moment, there is no such thing as hatred or dissatisfaction—there is only an overwhelming sense of gratitude, joy, and delight. I could see that Chang Ren was extremely busy and joyful, greeting these old friends. It seems Practitioner Su gave him plenty of face; he was beaming with smiles. This is the reward he truly deserves.
The Dharma assembly passed by very quickly. I could see the sky in the human world gradually darkening, but in this space, the sky remained bright. This must be the difference between the nature of time and space here. The entire energy field is simply different. After eating, there is an endless supply of nectar water for anyone to drink. Is food from the outside better than what one makes at home? Of course not. Therefore, the joy of doing things for oneself is something those who only eat out can never truly understand."
Gratitude and the Path of Practice
"As the first, second, and third sessions passed, and the assembly drew to a close, I saw everyone looking exhausted. I could not help but feel a heart full of gratitude. Whether it was the preparation of the noon offerings and fruit tributes, or the maintenance of order in the venue, it all contributed to a perfect Dharma event. It is this persistent dedication to saving others, repeated over and over again, that has led to today’s results. Everything here confirms one truth: there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world; it is the result of taking every step with firm footprints. My heart remains full of gratitude. Namo Amituofo."
