Teachings from Namo Amituofo

The Endless Cycle of Karmic Entanglement
Since time immemorial, we have been wandering through the cycle of rebirth. Throughout these countless lifetimes, we have been accompanied by our . We have experienced the relentless cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, passing through one life after another. Within the six realms of existence, we have encountered various Causal Conditions. Through our past actions—specifically killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, and lying—we have sown the seeds of our current suffering. Our spirits are not yet perfect; we all carry the weight of past transgressions and obstacles. However, these obstacles are not insurmountable. They simply require us to engage in sincere repenting and to let go of the burdens we carry.
The Reality of Cause and Effect
Many people hope for a magical solution to their suffering, much like the mythical soup of oblivion that makes one forget the past. Yet, when it comes to the laws of and cause and effect, no one can act as a substitute for another. You must bear the consequences of your own actions. It is vital that you keep the truth of cause and effect in your heart and nurture your spirit with this understanding. Only by doing so can you achieve a true breakthrough and leave your past mistakes behind. Even when faced with the prospect of death, your vow to reach the of Ultimate Bliss must never waver. Even if your body suffers from illness or disability, your mind must remain unmoved by these external conditions.
The Path of True Repentance
You must realise that the physical body is empty and illusory. You must understand the nature of and the reality of cause and effect. Once you have truly repented, you must ensure that these negative actions do not recur. If your repenting is insincere—if you merely go through the motions without changing your heart—you will inevitably fall back into the same patterns. This is not true repenting. Often, we remain entangled in karma because we cling to our own pain, our own regrets, and our own suffering. To all beings in this world, please remember these words: the past cannot be recalled. The only way forward is to let go.
Boarding the Flight to Ultimate Bliss
Life becomes much easier when you embrace the path of repenting. Do not cling to your personality or your ego; simply focus on your vow to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. When you see sentient beings struggling in the cycle of rebirth, you must awaken to the truth. If you truly wish for your children and all beings to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Namo Amituofo will certainly lead them there. There is absolutely no discrimination in this; all are invited to sit upon the lotus flowers. The Buddha’s teachings are vast and profound, providing the only way to transcend the three realms of existence. By resolving the suffering caused by karma, you can truly escape the cycle of rebirth. Because your heart and mind are powerful, your intentions can always manifest into reality. If you choose to suffer, you will suffer; if you choose to be sad, you will be sad. However, if you turn your heart toward the light, you can choose to let go at any moment.
The Wisdom of Stillness and
Why not see the emptiness of all things and find true peace and coolness? The five hundred Arhats, the living Buddha Jigong, and Maitreya Buddha all manifest in different ways to teach us. They often appear with joyful expressions or even act in unconventional ways in the human world. In truth, this is merely to bring to our hearts; there is no need to cling to the existence of things. Life in this world is easy to navigate if you can smile at both the human and heavenly realms. All karmic consequences are experienced through . If you can abandon your attachment to the body and mind, and stop clinging to all possessions, your heart will remain unchanged. You will dwell in a state of constant, tranquil emptiness. This is not a difficult task; it is simply a matter of letting go.
Leading Beings to the Right Path
The human world is a wonderful place to practise, provided you know how to manage your heart. Your heart is your own personal bodhimanda; when your heart is clear, your practice will flourish. If you ask why the world is so full of suffering, why karmic obstacles are so heavy, and why it is so difficult to perform for beings, the answer lies in your own personality. If you do not change your ways, how can your practice progress? Even when the Buddha stands right before you, you may still only see your own ego. Your personality, forged through countless lifetimes of rebirth, has become a stronger force than the Buddha’s words. This personality is what leads beings into the hells, but it is also the same heart that can become a sage of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Whether you are a Buddha or a demon depends entirely on the state of your heart in any given moment. To truly deliver sentient beings, you must cultivate a heart of compassion, change your ways, and lead them with sincerity. This is the only way to board the flight to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss—the true, direct flight of compassion.
