The Call to Unity in a Changing World

On the tenth of July, 2017, the disciple Shi Faxi respectfully prostrated and invited the compassionate Namo Amituofo to provide teachings. Namo Amituofo responded with profound wisdom regarding the state of our world and the path forward for all practitioners.

The moral climate of the world is in decline; this is a reality that we must acknowledge. It is the natural progression of the current age, and it is exactly where the Truth must be directed. Because the world is in such a state, there is an urgent need for unity. We must call upon the virtuous, the wise, and the talented from all corners of the earth to join together in the work of the . When we unite, we turn the wheel of the Dharma, ensuring that its flow remains strong and continues to spread across the land.

The Boundless Flow of the Dharma

Just as a river flows through the mountains, across the plains, and through the lakes, the Dharma must flow through every corner of our lives. It is like water that irrigates the earth, nourishing all that it touches until it eventually converges into the great ocean. The ocean of the Dharma is truly boundless, and the benefits of the Dharma it provides are infinite. To seek the highest Dharma is to possess the greatest of .

If you are able to practise the Dharma in this life, it is because you have cultivated these seeds in your past lives. Your Causal Conditions are unbroken, and everything you experience has a deep, fundamental root. If there were no seeds of cause planted in the past, there would be no fruits of effect to harvest today. When these conditions mature, the result is a magnificent display of the Buddha-land, a place where sacred traces are left for all to see.

Cultivating the Heart-Field

Though our physical eyes may not always perceive the presence of the Buddhas, our hearts can know them. In the presence of Namo Amituofo, there is a profound sense of peace, meditative concentration, and . The Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre is a sanctuary, a true paradise within this world of suffering. It is a place that cannot be compared to any other. Namo Amituofo and Shakyamuni Buddha both speak to us, reaching out to lead all beings back to the light. This is why the number of beings coming to the Dharma is immeasurable; the practice ground is pure, and its reality is difficult to describe in words.

Everywhere the Dharma is practised, golden lotuses bloom. If the Dharma were not alive within us, how could we manifest the ? We must protect our wisdom-life and our true nature, ensuring it remains pure and authentic. The path of the Dharma is eternal, and we must ensure that our initial resolve never wavers. When we cultivate the heart-fields, we must do so from within. It is not something that can be faked or performed for the sake of outward appearances. True practice is a matter of inner virtue; if the inside is not cultivated, the outside will never truly succeed.

We Are All One Family

Namo Amituofo looks upon the world with infinite , seeking to save all beings from their suffering. Everything that exists in this world is part of the same body. We are all connected, and the life of one is the concern of all. We must realise that we are all one family. When we understand this, we can truly live as one family, sharing the same Dharma wisdom and the same Dharma life. We must cherish the seeds of the Buddha’s teachings and always offer praise and support to one another.

The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a great family. Within this temple, we are all one, sharing the same destiny and the same mission. Namo Amituofo is here now, and indeed, has always been here. He walks alongside you, guiding you, and leading you home to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

This message was recorded and transcribed by the disciple Shi Faxi.
