This is a record of an interview with Pan Ya, an ancient demon from the Realm who has existed for fifty trillion years. He sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the . This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on October 5, 2024.

Pan Ya speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Pan Ya. The Dharma Realm is unimaginably vast; almost every space, every star, and every dimension spoken of in the Buddha’s teachings belongs to this realm. Naturally, the Earth is but one small part of this infinite expanse.

When Practitioner Su used the Twelve Lights to subdue the Dharma Realm, many of us—the old demons and ancient demons—were initially confused. However, once we realised that these were sacred instruments gifted to Practitioner Su by Namo Amituofo, many of the ancient demons and old demons finally understood the truth. Consequently, they brought their demon children and grandchildren to surrender. I, too, was meant to be among those who surrendered. Yet, because I acted far too impulsively, I made a grave mistake. I used my magic to attack, and in doing so, I injured the throat of Practitioner Su and harmed the fourfold assembly of disciples. I am taking this opportunity during this interview to offer my deepest, most sincere apologies to Practitioner Su and the fourfold assembly. I am truly sorry!"

The Legend of the King of the Dharma Realm

"What we finally came to understand is rooted in an ancient legend passed down through the eons. It was said that, at a certain point in the infinitely distant future, the King of the Dharma Realm would emerge from his precious land. He would carry his precious light, illuminating every corner of the Dharma Realm to rescue suffering souls. In particular, it was said that even the lost 'black demons'—if touched by this precious light—would be guided back to the kingdom of the King of the Dharma Realm and be saved.

Now, after experiencing this entire sequence of events, I, Pan Ya, know that this legend has become reality. It was never a fiction! Furthermore, while residing in the Dharma-Nature Land, we can see Namo Amituofo. When many of the old demons and ancient demons see Him, they fall to their knees, unable to stop their tears. It is as if children who have suffered through endless hardships have finally seen their compassionate father come to save them. We are filled with gratitude, over and over again. I am one of those children, and I am profoundly grateful."

A Heartfelt Plea to the Demon Realms

"At the time, I truly believed that I was using my magic to protect the Dharma Realm. I wanted to stop Practitioner Su from entering our domain. Some of the other ancient demons even cast very powerful, destructive magic, and they, too, have now been sent to the Dharma-Nature Land. Thankfully, the injuries Practitioner Su sustained will gradually heal; otherwise, we would truly have no way to repay such a debt!

I, Pan Ya, wish to issue a call to all the ancient demons and old demons of the Dharma Realm: Namo Amituofo has arrived! It is truly Namo Amituofo. It is Practitioner Su who has brought Namo Amituofo to save us all. It is because Practitioner Su made the vow to save the demon crowds and entered the Dharma Realm that Namo Amituofo has appeared. I implore the demon crowds: please, do not use your magic to attack Practitioner Su any longer. Stop your magic immediately, surrender, and save yourselves.

To all the demon crowds—whether you are ancient demons, old demons, great demon kings, or the demon children and grandchildren—my companions, please listen to the sincere counsel of Pan Ya. Namo Amituofo."
