The Compassion of Namo Amituofo

Namo Amituofo abides in this world with boundless compassion. His presence here is a beacon of light, working to reverse the tide of adversity and rescue infinite suffering beings from their plight. Many remain trapped in the cycle of rebirth, lost in the red dust of the mundane world, clinging to greed and desire. They wander through the six realms of existence, and for them, there seems to be no end to this cycle of suffering.

However, we must realise that the human body is extremely difficult to obtain, yet we have obtained it in this lifetime. The True Teachings are difficult to encounter, yet we have encountered them now. This is a rare and precious opportunity that we must not let slip away.

The Plight of the Spirits

The temple is filled with spirits from the netherworld who have come seeking help. We offer our deepest gratitude to Practitioner Su, whose great compassion has made the work of Chao Du possible. For thousands of years, these spirits have been left to suffer in silence, with no one to guide them or offer them a path to liberation.

What we see in this world is often merely the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface, there is a vast ocean of suffering that has persisted for millennia, unknown to the living. Many spirits look back on their past lives with profound regret, lamenting that they did not understand the nature of suffering when they were young. They once engaged in actions that caused trouble and harm to others, and it was only after death, when they faced the consequences of their karma, that they truly understood the weight of their mistakes.

The Urgency of Diligent Practice

It is a rare event for the True Teachings to exist in this world. You must seize this moment and not let it pass in vain. Time flows like an arrow and does not wait for anyone. Every day, the suffering of these spirits continues to grow. We must understand that Namo Amituofo remains here to turn the tide and save those who are lost in the depths of their own suffering.

You have accumulated merit over many lifetimes to reach this point and encounter this connection. To let it pass by would be a great tragedy. The fourfold assembly of disciples must clearly understand the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. You must grasp the present moment and engage in diligent practice. Do your utmost to save others, and in doing so, you will accumulate the merit and virtues necessary to secure your own path to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Let us work together, hand in hand, to return to the Western Pure Land and fulfil our ultimate vow.
