The Primordial Demon's Surrender
An Interview with Mo Ming, a Primordial Demon of 9.9 Billion Years
Recorded by Chief Writer Shi Fa Xin on October 8, 2024
This is a record of an interview with Mo Ming, a Primordial Demon who has existed for 9.9 billion years. He was the leader of the demon crowds that attacked the throat of Practitioner Su for the equivalent of two hundred and ten Earths, and the fourfold assembly for eleven Earths. After being purified by the Buddha-light during a assembly, he sought deliverance and now resides under the assembly of Namo Amituofo. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fa Xin, on October 8, 2024.
Mo Ming speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Mo Ming. For as long as I can remember, I have been traversing the dark, desolate spaces of the Dharma Realm. The distance I have been travelling across these vast, hidden dimensions is truly beyond calculation. The entire Dharma Realm is immense, and there is no corner where I could not find a place to dwell; it was merely a matter of my own choosing.
Many people are terrified of demons. And indeed, they should be. My demon nature is incredibly potent, and I could strike down anyone I chose at any moment. Once I set a target, I would show no mercy. To me, there was nothing that could not be done; it was only a question of whether I desired to do it. My heart was hardened and powerful, which meant that whenever I handled a matter, I did so with overwhelming force."
The Authority of the Demon King
"Usually, unless there was something of great significance, I would not leave my demon palace. I would simply use my thought power to observe and to transmit messages. Sometimes, if I needed to issue a command, I would use telepathic projection. My voice was thunderous, filled with such majesty that when I roared, my demon children and grandchildren would tremble. They were entirely obedient; if I commanded them to go east, they would never dare to head west.
For eons, I have been a Demon King of great prestige. My palace was like a grand fortress, and I would sit upon a towering throne, wielding my demonic power to control everything within my domain. I had been roaming the Dharma Realm for a long time, and only when I felt satisfied did I decide to return to my palace to rest."
The Mystery of the Vanishing Legions
"Recently, however, a great disturbance occurred in the Dharma Realm. I heard the news, and many of my demon children and grandchildren were sending out desperate messages of distress through their thought power. In all my past conflicts with other demon crowds, I had never seen them beg for help like this. What kind of power had appeared to cause such a massive reaction? I knew I had to investigate this personally. Only after I had uncovered the truth could I strike, and my strike would be aimed directly at the core of the problem.
I first dispatched an advance guard to investigate the situation. But at a certain point, the entire legion simply vanished. No matter how many messages I sent to them, there was no response. I had never encountered such a situation before, and for a moment, I was at a loss for what to do. I had no choice but to send another wave of demon legions to see what was happening, but the result was identical: they, too, vanished without a trace. This outcome was utterly unacceptable to me. What kind of power could possibly achieve such a feat?"
The Decision to Intervene
"I made my decision. I would leave my palace and personally sweep away this force. I could not allow this power to continue its arrogance; there had to be a counter-balancing force, and I would be the one to lead it. Since I had decided to emerge from my palace, I would make a grand display of it. This time, my strike would be merciless, designed to achieve the maximum possible suppression.
I heard from my demon children and grandchildren that this force was capable of opposing us. To be honest, I found it hard to believe. Even though the facts were right before my eyes, I knew that I was the one who would change the outcome."
Confronting the Practitioner
"I donned my black cloak. Whenever I wear this cloak, it signifies that I am launching a major invasion. Leading an immeasurable and boundless number of demon crowds—the combined strength of over two hundred Earths—I flew through space. We were darker than a massive bank of storm clouds. With incredible speed, I located Practitioner Su, who was emitting energy within the Dharma Realm. I observed this Practitioner Su, and the magnetic field radiating from him was indeed different from any other human being on Earth. I had heard that this Practitioner Su was a practitioner who followed the Buddha. If he was a practitioner, why did he not focus on his own practice instead of running into the Dharma Realm to cause chaos?
However, I had truly never heard of a practitioner who could cultivate to the point of traversing the Dharma Realm. The sight of this Practitioner Su appearing in the Dharma Realm was something I was seeing for the first time. His spirit would emerge from his physical body, disperse into space, and then transform into countless versions of himself. This was not something our demon clones could achieve. How could a human being, still possessing a physical body, possibly do this? My heart was deeply shaken."
The Battle of Wills
"But regardless of how much skill this Practitioner Su possessed, he should not have interfered with us. Since so many of our demon crowds were being subdued by him, I could not remain silent. We demons had worked for a very long time to establish our own territories, and now the appearance of one Practitioner Su had destroyed everything. This result was truly unacceptable. Therefore, I led my demon children and grandchildren in an attempt to strike at him.
I saw Practitioner Su emitting a tremendous amount of energy. That energy radiated a brilliant light, and the light shot directly into the universe and the Dharma Realm. Although we had never seen such a sight, we relied on our demonic power to charge straight forward, thinking that suppressing this light would be easy. Our demon crowds from two hundred and ten Earths spread out, forming a force of absolute darkness that descended upon him. A group of the most powerful demons among us focused their attack on Practitioner Su’s throat. His throat was emitting the sound of chanting, which was saving many demon crowds and opening many spaces. We believed that if we attacked his vital points, we could stop him from continuing his work. Beyond his throat, we surrounded his entire body, ensuring that he would feel the full weight of our discomfort."
The Power of Buddha-light
"We have controlled many human beings, so we know exactly what kind of methods make the human physical body unable to endure. Facing this Practitioner Su, who possessed such great skills, our demonic power was doubled and then redoubled. We had only one goal: to force Practitioner Su to abandon his breakthrough in the Dharma Realm. I kept attacking, kept interfering, waiting to see his reaction. We never expected that Practitioner Su would continue to hold his Dharma assembly. The scale of the assembly was massive; beyond us, he had to deal with countless other spirits. It was not a simple task, yet he persisted.
Even after we intensified our demonic power, suddenly, a wave of Buddha-light enveloped us all. It was as if we had been lifted up and transferred into another space. Everything happened so quickly that I had no time to react. When I regained my , my demon children and grandchildren had vanished from my side."
Transformation and Gratitude
"My entire body was purified by the warm current of the Buddha-light, and I was filled with a different kind of energy. Previously, all the energy in my body was demonic, but now, my heart has become much softer. My entire being has become much clearer, and the perspective from which I view the world has changed. In the past, when I looked at the Dharma Realm, I was always looking for which territory I could claim as my own. Now, when I look at the Dharma Realm, I see the scene of Practitioner Su performing .
I see the manifestations of Practitioner Su emerging from his body and dispersing into space, and his power is immense. Now I understand that Practitioner Su possesses such great power because his vow is equally vast. The power of his vow is entirely focused on sentient beings. The reason his constantly traverses the Dharma Realm, even reaching the places where demons reside, is entirely to help sentient beings.
There are many ancient demons and primordial demons in the Dharma Realm, beings who have existed for billions of years—times that cannot even be calculated by Earth’s standards. Practitioner Su is compassionate; he hopes that the demon crowds can find a way to leave through the Causal Conditions of Chao Du, and he hopes that these ancient demons can wake up after being purified. Relying on such a direct heart and great , no matter how much interference he encounters, Practitioner Su continues to move straight forward.
The demon crowds that interfered with Practitioner Su came in wave after wave, and because Practitioner Su opened so many spaces, many demons were stirred up and sought him out. Through his compassion, after overcoming each interference one by one, he purified these demon crowds. I, too, arrived not long ago, and through these Causal Conditions, I am now able to stay under the assembly of Namo Amituofo. In the past, I once thought my power was vast and boundless, but now I know that only Namo Amituofo is truly vast and boundless, treating every single spirit as his own child. The Buddha understands the suffering of all spirits and knows that they are all trapped in the cycle of rebirth. In the eyes of the Buddha, all are equal.
Now that I am able to be under the assembly of Namo Amituofo, my spirit cannot help but weep. It is a power of being moved from the heart. It turns out that I was lost in delusion in the past, thinking that everything was real, which is why I fought and grabbed. Now that I have let go of everything and have been purified, my whole being feels so cool and refreshed. Whenever Practitioner Su begins to perform Chao Du, Namo Amituofo is always there. I am so grateful for the dedication of the Buddha and Practitioner Su to all sentient beings. My spirit now has light. I am so grateful! Namo Amituofo."
