The Path of True Repentance

Face the mistakes of the past with sincere repentance. Once you have repented, you must immediately correct your behaviour and ensure that you do not repeat the same errors. Our minds are often like thousands of tangled threads, layered one upon another. Each thread represents a thought, and each thought manifests in the present moment, creating the reality we experience.

The Stillness of No-Thought

How can we quiet this endless stream of thoughts? Only by reaching the state of No-Thought can these threads be stilled. In this state of pure awareness, there is no longer a sense of right or wrong, and the duality of self and other dissolves. When we hold onto distinctions of high and low, or when we allow jealousy and obstacles to cloud our hearts, we lose our way. In truth, we are all connected by the same heart, threaded together as one. We are here at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre to walk the path of the Buddha-vow together.

Your Original Nature

You are originally the Buddha Tathagata. Do not let your stubborn ego or rigid personality bury your wisdom-life. It is rare to encounter this teaching in hundreds of thousands of kalpas; you must cherish this opportunity. In this life, you must resolve the karmic debts accumulated over countless lifetimes. The dust of ages that covers our true nature is immeasurable, yet the merit of the Holy Name is inconceivable.

  • The Power of the Name: A single recitation of the Holy Name of Namo Amituofo has the immeasurable power to save all beings.
  • The Role of the Heart: Everything depends on the vastness of your heart and the strength of your vows.
  • The Twofold Power: By combining your own sincere effort with the infinite power of the Buddha, you will receive the necessary support to transcend your limitations.

Living with Freedom and

You must break through the walls of your ego with a gentle and humble heart. By using the wonderful method of following conditions, you will naturally gain the strength to move forward. Walk freely in this life, and do not let the compassionate vow of Namo Amituofo go to waste. Through this practice, you will leave suffering behind and find true happiness, fulfilling the purpose of your existence.
