Deliverance to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss: The Testimony of Cen Jinzhong and Cen Chen Yinfang

This is a record of an interview with Mr. Cen Jinzhong and his wife, Mrs. Cen Chen Yinfang, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. They now reside in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account was recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on October 13, 2019.

Mr. Cen Jinzhong and Mrs. Cen Chen Yinfang speak:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Cen Jinzhong, and I am Cen Chen Yinfang. Xingying, oh, dear sister! Thank you so much! It is only because of your efforts to arrange this Chao Du that your brother has been able to come to this place. This is no ordinary location; it is a realm that I, in my previous state, could never have reached on my own. I understand this very clearly in my heart. If it were not for the karmic connection with the family of Guan Jun, you would never have encountered Practitioner Su, and there would be no 'me' as I am today—I would not have been able to reunite with your sister-in-law here."

The Consequences of a Misspent Life

"After death, wandering between the human and ghost realms is a common fate, but my path took a darker turn. I was reborn as a monkey. Because I was clever during my life but did not use my intelligence for upright or virtuous purposes, I suffered this outcome after death. I was nearly captured and locked away in a cage, but fortunately, Practitioner Su saved me, allowing me to finally find liberation from that cycle of suffering."

The Greatness of the Buddha’s Teachings

"Now, Practitioner Su has brought me into this place. This is the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—what an absolutely magnificent and extraordinary realm! The Buddha’s teachings are truly profound and great! In my past life, I never had the inclination to engage with the Buddha’s teachings. I never imagined that the Buddha’s teachings would be so much more sublime and superior to the Taoist practices I once knew. It truly fills me with heartfelt admiration and respect!"
